I think they play Japan next. They should be able to beat Japan. ..........This actually raises the possibility of a block universe. And too PD Ouspensky's idea of eternal recurrence. That is, if she is correct. I am not familiar with those terms. My view is that ESP is about tapping into your inner-senses; those can perceive probabilities, and your inner-self can operate with them. Intuition is a catch-all for all these things that happen under the radar, and asparagus, i ching, and other such methods allow the ego to shift and / or expand its awareness, consequently accessing information not ordinarily available. Besides the probabilistic aspect of that information, there are also inherent distortions, misinterpretations too. I basically sort-of did this post especially for you (and sree, but he's not probably interested). Most everybody else has been around long enough to have seen it previously, if they had any interest. The link is a post I just finished, those terms explained. Block universe.

I just quickly read your other post, and just linked to the "block universe". To some degree seems to have commonalities with some of my views. I don't know yet, but from the first sentences I see a difference in perspective. This is a dubious statement for me, because it seems physical-reality oriented, fact based (even if infinite number of facts), which is different than how I see it. But I also call the physical-reality a "sandbox" with three hyper-axes: time, 3D space, probability. I'm sure I posted about this.

I'm not a proponent of a block universe, it would be just a part of the Whole, somewhat explained. I just saw a mention of a growing block universe, I've never heard of this, but I will check into it (tomorrow). Sounds like it has possibilities, just from the name.

Just a quick response about Ramana for I never had him down as being a mystic . I am not saying that what you spoke of tars him with the mystical brush but from what I have heard of some of his quotes, mainly through forums is that he said once upon a time that realisations can come about through efforts made in previous lives. (come to think about it, it might of been niz) not sure. But what I have noticed is that there isn't much talk about the type of things that I have spoke about before, has Ramana ever spoken about choosing your parents for example prior to incarnation .. You see this type of understandings are frequently missing from certain non duality peeps, because they don't have that mystical types of experience .. You see I am aware of several lifetimes had with my mum and understand the gravity of why soul groups incarnate often . It is a progression and a way of growing as a soul, now peeps don't have to agree with this at all, but if certain teachers speak about nothing is predetermined then they are off on the wrong foot . It's no coincidence certain peeps are in our lives .. Perhaps touching upon Ramana not knowing how much money one can earn in a lifetime then that is true form a position of not knowing isn't it . I understand this opens up a can of worms regarding many matters of knowing, not knowing, awareness, time and no time lol . Well, I threw the quote out there just for grins, but I prefaced that paragraph by signaling that I was writing from and for a purely intellectual position. My reading of both Ramana and Niz is relatively casual, but I have read them addressing reincarnation. They acknowledge it from within their own cultural context, but remember, these guys were hardcore truth pointers, so they put it into perspective. Fair enough, although I had the impression you were a bit of an expert on them both . I rarely hear anything much about either of them speaking about the spirit world, or other dimensions etc .. There's nothing much at all unless I am mistaken, there isn't anything much in between, it more so, awareness of self of the mindful world or beyond that .. nuffin much else. I believe the mystical experiences is needed, it's not so much black and white as certain teachers declare . There seems to be an absence of experience of such things . This is why I have said to quite a few folks who proclaim this world reality is a dreamworld, when they have no other comparison had to it . It's kinda bonkers to throw down such a statement when there are possibly an infinite amount of realities experienced .

Different people have different interests, and these can vary quite widely for some of us over the course of our lives. The dream/dreamer metaphor can have it's place, for the right person, at the right time.

This here post is for His Sree-ness. Been watching combat footage of easterners at war in Sri Lanka, Tamil Tigers vs. The Sinhalese Army. Seems no different than how folks in the so-called West slaughter each other. So much for that dumb distinction. Almost as bloody as the combat here. No prisoners.

Croatia is still in it, play Argentina in the semi-finals Tuesday, is one of the last 4 countries. They beat Brazil in the quarterfinals today. England plays France in the quarterfinals tomorrow. Croatia scored in the last 3 minutes of OT, in the 117th minute, to take it to penalty kicks, won on penalty kicks. Croatia lost in the final game in both 2018 and 2014. So the asparagus is still in play.

Nothing wrong with challenging, though, right? Happens a lot, and he has said he is open to challenges. I'd be curious to hear more about what you think you have in common with the shenanigans that you recognize his mind doing (maybe something similar that you used to do), and perhaps what you found under that layer that gives rise to the spontaneous letting go of the enterprise. The self is imagined (the trick of light), which makes a duality (shadow), and then, continuing outward and labeling, it is imagined to be lots of things, which gives rise to the 10,000 things. Then, we can become aware of something not being quite right, and we turn inward. We begin to imagine a lot of theories, stages, levels, etc (i.e., whys) that attempt to give substance to why that is, giving self a lil' more life/substance/agency to hold on to. The substantiated imagined self feels compelled to go off searching for something more, and perhaps, eventually the Source of all this going on. Is the self imagined? If so, what's the problem needing to be solved? What's HERE to realize prior to all that imagining going on? The imagined self can't do this, obviously. So true! Yesterday I listened to Tyler Matthew's story on Souljourns, and it was fascinating. At the age of 30 he was sitting by a pool in Las Vegas when suddenly a veil lifted, and he was catapulted into THIS. He realized that everything was perfect just as it was, and he lived the next six months in bliss. Then, his oneness with THIS gradually dissipated, and the veil fell back down. What followed was 7 years of pure hell during which every kind of debacle occurred. He considered it the "dark night of the soul." He continued to meditate, had various insights, and finally, after 7 years, reached a state that might be described as "neutral" but without any joy or bliss, and he couldn't understand why. He spent some time with Mike Snider, and one day Mike read him some lines from the 26th chapter of the Ribhu Gita (the treatise that Ramana recommended to everybody). Upon hearing those words, Tyler suddenly apprehended what Mike calls "absolute identity," and that was the end of "Tyler." Ted Henry, the interviewer, asked Tyler if he could explain the 7 years of hell. Tyler said, "You could call them vasanas, or mind attachments, or egos tendencies, or karma, or whatever, but there's all kinds of suppressed feelings and other self-referential stuff that are sometimes inside the body that may need to come up and be released, and when that happens, it can be a painful process." FWIW, Tyler is one of the clearest people I've ever met, and many people on the forum would probably find the interview interesting. It can probably be accessed by googling "Ted Henry interview with Tyler Matthew on Souljourns" or something like that. Thanks for the recommendation, well worth the watch time. I posted the youtube vid in the teachers section.
