True but does a "he" have a burning bush?
I think Samadhi is important, because its the means of seeing God in the most direct way, without the filter of an individualized self that "Knows" God.
In Samadhi, knowing is dropped and only the experience of ISNESS with no knower remains.
The closest thing I've been able to come up with regarding a model and reason for existence, and our perspective of separation and individuation, is that as individuals with a mind movement, we can Know God, we can "Know Thyself"....we can Know the infinite ISNESS of existence.
In Samadhi, which is God Union, there is no experience of SELF or Knowing, only ISNESS.
From the experience of ISNESS, knowing arises, and with it a Knower, which is the illusion of a separation from ISNESS.
And, in reverse:
When the knower; the I AM, or "ME-ness" is released into Samadhi, the appearance of Subject and Object merge back together inan indivisible, limitless, whole.
When subject and object merge, the bifurcation of knower of self and self merge into union, which is God Union...but there is no knowing of Self in God Union (Samadhi)....so the Self re-emerges to Know Thyself.
Our appearance of individuation, is God Knowing and expressing Thyself.
all of the urges and desires that we have in life are God Knowing the various aspects of SELF.
suffering does not appear to result from the desires that move us, rather, suffering is the result of attachment to one aspect of God over another, if we cling to a desire, or cling to any experience, instead of flowing, we suffer.
Sometimes God wants to know thyself through the desire itself, and sometimes God wants to know thyself through a fullfillment of a desire...desires do not cause suffering, attachment to a stationary position or a clinging to something without being in flow causes suffering.
But ultimately, ALL desires are God Knowing Thyself....
When one is frequently returning to Samadhi and then returning to being the knower of SELF, i.e. the I AM, most other desires fall away, because one is taking the direct route of knowing the essential SELF instead of other aspects of self.
Clearing the Vasanas is basically a process of clearing the attachments that cause suffering.
Desires are a natural and harmonious phenomena, and do not cause suffering in and of themselves, its the attachments that often develop from desires that cause suffering.
Desires without attachment are the dance and play and joy of God knowing thyself in different ways.
And when one's desire is of a spiritual dent, we are God knowing thyself in our most essential nature....the peak (so to speak), of knowing thyself in our most essential nature is the moving back and forth between Samadhi (the union of Knower and Known, Subject and Object in God Union) and the the appearance of a a Knower.
In Samadhi, the knower ceases to exist, as does the knowing, in Samadhi, the knowing of God cedes to pure being of God, our most essential nature.
If there is a frequent transition between God Being God, and God Knowing God, there is an increased intimacy with the most essential nature of our God SELF, versus the various other aspects of God that other desires bring us closer to.
That intimacy with the most essential nature of ourselves, seems to make other desires less desirable ;-)
So the question is:
"Does "HE" have a burning bush?"
Answer: If that is the way God happens to be Knowing God at the moment, then YES, if not, then know ;-)
