Synapticrythms: Thanks so much for the link to itisnotreal.com. It filled in the gaps of what I remembered about Robert Adams--truly a fascinating story.

It really is, ZD. I found Ed Muzika's directions on practice to be the exact thing that is needed right now. The movement, not around in my inward world nor in the external world, is rather like assuming one's natural stance. That is the only way that I am able to describe it. I remember talking to a friend about the spiritual journey and telling her that it is almost like I am Pinocchio, just trying to become a real boy.
The "Is-ness" that is there... deep... reminds me of the Tao Te Ching stating, "... Drops, drops like a stone," in describing the sage. That was mystifying until this particular practice.

Here's a more-or-less chronological list, chosen because of the distance I was (hopefully) kicked further along the path by at least one thing they said...
1. Eckhart Tolle - great primer on the ego for someone who'd never heard of such a thing before, which somehow led me (via Google) to... 2. Jed McKenna - for erasing all hope that this was going to be easy or fun and why, which somehow led me (also via Google) to... 3. Richard Rose - for creating the TAT Foundation (among other wonderful things), which led me to here, and to... 4. Bart Marshall - for saying "the degree to which you do not exist cannot be overstated" (wow!), and... 5. Douglas Harding - (last but definitely not least) for his vast body of fascinating work that just keeps giving.
Honorable mention along the way for Suzanne Segal's book Collision with the Infinite, Dave Gold's After the Absolute and to David Scoma and Steven Norquist for re-enforcing the damage already done by McKenna. Ken Wilbur's work has some high points, too.
I've also found Art Ticknor's essays to be quite moving, and I'm just now reading his new book Solid Ground of Being, which has already had quite an impact. He really should be on the list above somewhere...

Ive noticed few of you put UG Krishnamurti on your lists. Ive never read anything of him but by reading some other forums Ive made predjudice that he is just a copycat of J. Krishnamurti. And now I see that may be wrong predjudice.
I would apriciete if you could in few words explain why is he on your list, something about his way of teaching?
thx

Yes I also noticed two constant names UG Krishnamurthy and Ed Muzika. Reading a bit of both now. Couldnt follow UG much but Robert Adams resources on Eds site is good. Finished reading Autobiography of jnani. Has been helpful to me in relation to few experiences I had in my journey so far. Not sure if these will end like it does with the yogi (in Self realization) but none the less it is worth following and instrospecting. Expereinces may differ from seeker to seeker but I love Ed Muzikas attempt to motivate us by presenting a live practical "demo" of what Self-realization (turiya) rather than what other teachers do by quoting scriptures or dry techniques or some uplifting emotional talks. This was unique presentation. Fresh and living. Yet I am not sure it will help me go all the way.

UG is tricky to read since the guy was so scornful over people being spiritual seeks he didn't make a lot of sense but from time to time he would break the surface with some awesome stuff but he was challenging for sure

In no order because they change as I change
Tolle - For introducing me to this path
DeMello - For showing me how most people live their whole life a sleep and for showing me the differences between spirituality and religion
Sailor Bob - For relentlessly and relentlessly pointing me past the reference point and seeking.
Nouk Sanchez , Tomas Vieira - For teaching me how to undo the ego using emotional and Christian principals.
ZenDancer (Bob Harwood) - For so many valuable insights and responses to my questions on this board along with his book that tied up loose ends on Zen, Advaita and Christianity
