Hey Laffy, try stop thinking when the wife shouts at you. It's called turning the other cheek. When you do that, it's going to enrage her. You won't get out of the mess. Hey man, Sue is probably pretty cool, anyone who could put up with Bill for such an extended period of time must be blessed with infinite patience and unreserved love.. I, however, have gotten my wife to calm down simply by being calm myself You shout at your wife also? |

I don't believe I am the body. Actually, even the body is an elaborate fiction created by the mind. Do you realize that the body cannot be perceived all at once? In other words, it is not all there at the same time. There is this saying "I will believe it if I see it". You can't see the back of your head, right? Do you see how powerful the mind is? It completes the hologram. One way to get rid of your fat body without dieting is to not look at it.

Human life comes in an unimaginably myriad detailed forms. There are fat people, thin people, fit people, sick people, rich people, poor people. Some are happy and satisfied with very little others are voracious black holes of appetite. But no matter how much one as accomplished, achieved, perfected, accumulated or been accoladed, they all come to the same end. It's all on loan, all temporary, all ephemeral. I'm not saying that none of it matters, because in the moment, it all matters. Just not in a way that can be understood by the mind of an existential child. Die before you die, and see the world as an existential adult. Put down the baggage of your psuedo-concern for the "world". It's the result of an illusion. Yes. Thread title is "Death". Your mindset of the world is one that runs on the belief that the human body is the person; and yet, you factor in the possibility that the person can die before the body dies. Can you sort this out? Also, what do you mean by "die before you die"? PLease bear in mind that you are using the English language and words have specific meanings.
There you go again imagining things that are false. And, as if you haven't heard this before? A symptom, as you've alluded, is the cessation of certain patterns of mind. Such as the one that would demand consistent language on the topic digestible by the mind of an existential child; or the one that constantly raises contemptuous and sneering objections to it. I thought of telling this story yesterday, passed on it. Probably should pass again. However. My former was a musician, she played organ and piano, and taught piano lessons, taught in public school some, private school some. We were eating in a Wendy's near Christmas. Across form us was a male African American and a white lady, handsome couple. Suddenly we both looked at each other, we knew what each other was thinking. We both laughed. We 'imagined' what the guy was thinking: "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas". I hope that does not offend anyone.  |
