And, in the realm of relative truths you Sir, are a liar. Oh and don't worry I completely get how much you have to be the bigger man and only talk about universal truths. Look around you. Haven't you noticed this isn't a brain chemistry forum? I'm sure you can find a forum more suited to your interests.

Dunno. Take a lot of drugs and the mind is very different, so there's some interplay between biochemistry and thought, and social determinants are also part of the mix, so all the ways in which a person is interactive with senses, culture and environment across their own lifespan and intergenerationally (... and don't get me started on 'intersectionality"!).

For some it's an achievement. You have another definition of presence, I guess. Presence is fundamentally an absence; a not doing. It's not advantageous for mind/ego to take credit for getting out of the way. It is, more appropriately, an act of humility. Quotable quote.

I know it's a radical thing to accept beyond a philosophical idea, but in actuality we don't live in an objective world of cause and effect. Brain chemistry does not alter thought. Brain chemistry changes, thought changes. There is correlation, but not causation. It's not empty philosophy. As long as cause/effect in the world is seen as actual, an objective world is seen as actual, and duality is seen as actual and separation is seen as actual. Watch mind make those connections and hold the final conclusion as inviolable truth to be defended at all cost. Non-duality is a valid direction of inquiry, but few take it seriously. What does it actually imply?

Non-duality is liken to a solitary Ovum resting in the womb of a mother during ovulation. Suddenly millions of sperm cells approach the Ovum each trying to enter into it. Only one got inside. Thereafter the Ovum fertilised and began to split. The splitting is the Duality thing.

What does it actually imply? I think the scientists have found out the chemical pathways of drugs interacting with the body and the effect has been shown beyond correlation, but how that chemistry results in subjective conscious experience is correlative at best, if that.
I'm pretty sure causation as a principle has been relegated to the past since QM proved to be 'weird', but still, the sciences deal with hypotheses and measurements of things that can be described by math, but science doesn't deal with subjectivity directly in the way spiritualism does.
I should probably take 'non-duality' more seriously myself, and I used to be pretty full on about my spiritual aspects, but recently I've been more preoccupied with mundane physicality. Once the physical aspect is sorted out, and life is more organised generally speaking, I'll probably spend more time on spirituality again.

Mundane physicality is the mother lode of spirituality.

"Brain chemistry does not alter thought," says Enigma.
So, what happens when couples do sex? Here's an article written by Hallie Gould in the Journal The Thirty. "There's an increase in blood flow triggered by a surge in nitric oxide in your body during sex—which is why you may notice parts of your body flush. This is also why your nipples become more sensitive and erect," explains Brahmbhatt.
"Depending on how rigorous the sex, your pulse, blood pressure, and breathing will continue to increase. Dopamine and epinephrine (the adrenaline hormone) continue to rise during sex, and, as you get closer to climax, the muscles throughout your body may start to tense up due to changes in your cerebellum."
Plus, sex boosts your immune system as well as confidence and creativity. A Wilkes University study showed that people having sex once or twice a week had a 30% increase in immunoglobulin A, which strengthens immunity. And, "studies have shown sex and meditation light up similar areas in the brain," says Kim Anami, a holistic sex and relationship expert and founder of Anami Alchemia. "Both sex and meditation help you to you feel at one with yourself and the world, your intuition is strengthened, you feel more creative and able to tackle problems with a relaxed mind."

That's really part of the charade, part of no-thing masquerading as everything, to suck you into the dream, to make it believable. But you are not the body. If you look for "I" even in the sexual experience, you will not find "I." "I" can never be an object in the field of experience, because if it is, then who is experiencing "I"? The same way that God can can never be an object in the field of experience, because if He is, then He is bound, limited, by time and space. That' why if you meet the Buddha, he is an imposter. "God is the 'seer'" as Ramana says. Now as the Bible says, "give Ceasar what is Ceasar's, and God what is God's." Translated this means that because you "see" through the charade, you don't stop using toilet paper.

The husband's sexual drive was unquestionably intense that he could not control the urge to have sex with another not his wife. Because he practiced non - duality, he consider doing things were due to his ego. So, finally , the husband was caught by his wife naked on top with another woman. The wife shouted at her husband, "Roger!! How could you. You said you will remain faithful to me !" Her husband replied, " Is this really me, honey? Is this really me?" Moral lesson: A non-dual person will never admit it is his " I " whodunit.

The husband, wife and wife's lover are the one masquerading as many. I look at this way, life is a beautiful poem, this stuff about the charade is its hidden meaning. You can't really appreciate, "see," the meaning without reading the poem, without living life fully.

The seer knows where we go because it knows our past, present and future. This seer is in its dual form is Krsna. Life without seer /Krsna will not make a beautiful poem rhyme. You the ego is the charade. Once you know you are the ego then go with the flow , not to slow not too fast. Afterall its Krsna who does the directing and orchestrating with our individual life poems and charades. Lyrics from a song, "Are you really happy with this lonely game we play. We're lost in this masquerade."

Ramana knew he's the ego. He never claimed he's the seer. Nobody in this world can declare he knows in full the seer. Nobody can be equal to or greater than the seer. Ramana's intelligence evolved because he came in contact with the seer after so many years of practice seeking the seer from within his heart. There in his heart he saw the seer. Then he cried. With tears in Ramana's eye he knew who the seer was ever since he was a child . The bluish black complexioned boy playing music with his flute herding his Surabhi cows in the forest of Vrndavan.
