It's 31 October so it depends a bit on where you are and a bit more on when Sunshine next logs in. I'm now imagining that you've got yourself a chart next to your computer and there is a grade of bannings that you're trying out. Some behaviour warrants a two week ban. Some a 5-week ban. Some get the traditional 4-week ban. Are you simultaneously trying out an escalation of longevity on Sunshine due to his recent return from only a 4-week ban? Yes it's a complex process that takes many variables into account including the rolling of a D30. If you think 4 weeks is a tradition then I hope you're getting that from experience elsewhere, because I don't think I've ever been consistent enough to warrant such definition.

That comment reveals more about your own conditioning and the stigma of mental health conditions than anything else. Someone medically qualified would be very hesitant to pass comment like that on a spiritual forum. You have no right to pass comment. You were either being extremely obtuse or extremely malicious. I don't think you are that obtuse. Well we don't know. Perhaps Bakk does have medical training or personal / close experience of such things. These one line posts without any context make it hard to tell where someone is coming from but human nature being what it is, people tend not to assume the best especially when they're already sensitive about the topic. I think. And yes I absolutely agree that mental health conditions have a stigma associated with them but I think a helpful way to deal with that is with empathy, not just ignoring the stigma and thinking that purely factual statements can be made ("because it's true") without any offence being taken.

when I wrote that I was hallway expecting to hear the Portuguese perspective.. but now I see that won't be possible until November... oh well... so maybe its true that Americans are freer than Dutch expatriates living abroad It may be October, we're trying to get a definite. It's 31 October so it depends a bit on where you are and a bit more on when Sunshine next logs in.

Bakk also came into the equation, but the jury is out there since he/she managed to not get abusive. Why was that? Because I told him that the severe mental health condition that he was diagnosed with 30 years ago, is being suppressed? Yes. Without any context to your post (your reason for saying so, your medical training to make that call, your personal experience with the condition) it just came over like a personal attack. But you know, not much of one and nothing like Sunshine was doing. Which is why we'll next see him in October.

Nobody in universe disprove my logic, even for millions years. GOPAL THEY ARE MOCKING YOUR ENGLISH ! it makes you look like the village idiot!Crikey, 6 reported posts to wade through this morning, Gopal vs Sunshine and Sunshine vs Gopal. First point: Gopal, Enigma is (in a fairly gentle way) mocking you in his post above. I suspect that you can't see this because English is not your first language. I really don't get why you as a non-native speaker would be so quick to say your English is great. I mean, it's good, don't get me wrong, but you're obviously missing some subtleties. Which is fine, we all understand what you mean, but why you'd attack Sunshine over it I don't know. On the other hand, I've no idea why he's got such a bee in his bonnet to dispel your illusions in this area. So looking over the posts and awarding points, I'd say Sunshine is well off the rails and can take time off until November, and Gopal slightly less so can have two weeks. Bakk also came into the equation, but the jury is out there since he/she managed to not get abusive. I'll leave your IP addresses open so you can read as guests. If you abuse this, I'll lock them down also. P

I've had to delete a couple of Anja's posts that contained personally identifying information. Please try to avoid using people's real names if they were revealed through private channels. P That presents a rather interesting "damage done" scenario. Will you please at least PM me if I was one of the name's published? Thanks. It was Sunshine's, and my deletion was in response to a reported post. I don't just delete posts willy nilly, as you know.

Yes. It takes thinking to look at the ways we delude ourselves. It takes thinking to see the limit of thinking. Once that's seen (for realz lol) then all that's left is to turn attention to stillness. Try telling someone deeply attached to their identity and mired in mind to 'rest in awareness' and see what happens. I do that all the time quinn, to the people I teach to meditate, and I do see what happens, every single time. It's a very different dynamic when someone has asked to be told.

"Yesterday" at 4:40 AM Peter posted to BFT. So I don't know what's up, but I liked your post. Yeah, it's a bit confusing. I think that communication is lacking between the different mods about this - AFAIK ZD banned Anja and perhaps ZD and Peter haven't discussed the issue. But in any case it is a bit bizarre that Peter is here discussing with a banned member how many off-topic posts per day they should limit themselves to. Oh we discussed it, so the communication isn't lacking; but you know he and I have different styles of moderation. Is that confusing? I didn't see the posts that caused ZD to ban Anja (and I believe several of her posts got deleted one way or another), plus I'd also hamstrung myself by saying I wouldn't ban her without prior discussion. So here we are.

My son also always looks at all the angles.
No. You cannot carry your off-topic post limit between days. Neither can you claim "before and after midnight in my time zone" so as to post 6. The limit is 3 per 24 hour period. It is an upper limit. You are in no way required or encouraged to post ANY off topic posts.

Anja / Bill this forum exists for spiritual discussion. Please limit yourself to 3 off-topic (eg music / nonsense) posts per day. I've given the same restriction to other members before now who got into a thing of posting funny pictures.
Thanks, Peter

Anja has been banned without a warning from Peter That is not the case. I see Anja has been banned and I must assume that Zendancer hit the button. He did send me a message about Anja that I've still to reply to. Sorry I've been in transit for a few days.

Can we not discuss Gopal's porn habits or love life please? You know it distresses him, so I'll assume you're deliberately trolling. I assume you're kidding me, Peter. Right? Nope. I would hope my sense of humour is funnier than that. What I see there has nothing to do with Spiritual Enquiry, it's just noise, drama. I don't mind some of that - it's part of the camaraderie of the site, especially from posters who take the time to write considered on-topic posts. But when the noise starts to drown out the quality posting, I feel like I should try and do something about it. I've already banned 3 people for pushing Gopal's cultural buttons. I feel like you going back in there is an attempt to push my button. If you don't know what's going on here, please go and listen to some tunes in the un-moderated forum: Music that grabs you... I don't have the time to track every post that happens here. Even if I gave 5 hours a day to it I still couldn't keep up. If there's something you want me to look at, post me a link. Also "unmoderated" doesn't require my attention by definition. Well, it's most obviously a request. In another post you seemed to imply you thought you could be banned for discussing spiritually related topics that are not in-line with the majority of posters here. This is not the case. I don't favour one belief system over another. Are you - at some level - wanting to get banned so that you can get yourself good and righteously worked up about it? You said something about wanting to make some point about something. What was it? I presume it wasn't the above.

....:::middle-finger of right hand is shown to the computer-screen:::....Gopal is mine! He's just into normal, regular, "innocent" porn. He's young and probably has no girly to play with. Understandable. Can we not discuss Gopal's porn habits or love life please? You know it distresses him, so I'll assume you're deliberately trolling.

This is not an application for moderation in this forum as a moderator like you are. Just give me permission to state a point, DIRECTLY, without being banned, and I promise not to use the usual dirty worlds. I feel like you've cast me in the role of censor of non-conformist ideas here. That's not my thing at all. At least, not in my view. I've just banned 3 people for playing what amounted to an extended game of "Yo mama", Andrew for telling someone to f-off and your ban you'll remember was for telling E that he wasn't to suck the d1ck that you don't have. That's not about making a point, it's about consideration for the wider readership. You're welcome to make any point you like, as long as you can do it without being abusive. Even about the behaviours of other posters. But if the main goal of your ongoing action here is to criticise people directly, then I wouldn't find that helpful. Well, see how you get on. I promise not to ban you without prior discussion. P
