That would be the tiny minority that say, if you don't believe what I deem you should believe, I'm going to have to kill you. Or if you offer an opinion that I perceive disparages or denigrates certain aspects or figures asscoiated with my own beliefs ... likewise. It's true that it's a minority, relaitevely speaking. But even so. It's not a minority in the west. Since the end of WW2, the entire western world has been supporting and fighting wars in the Middle-East, South-East Asia, Africa, South America, and God knows where else, in the name of protecting freedom and democracy. We are still smarting from a tangle with Russia as we take a jab at China. It a good thing that we are cowards at defending our fake values.
Spirituality is a vital aspect of human nature. You won't be able to corrupt this connection.
Sure, there's something in what you say. But I don't fear for myself if I come on here and potentially disparage democracy in someone elses eyes. |

What does it mean when I said "the self vanishes"? You impulsively reacted to that statement. Are you able to frame an intelligent question in response to take me out?
No, I have really lost interest. I know what it means for self to vanish, I don't need to ask you. I still don't know what you are up to here on ST's forum. Everything is a cost-benefit analysis. at least with a seeker you've got something to work with.. sree looks like a big thinker with no where to go |

Good story, stardust. I have always wondered what our life would be like if Japan had won the war. Would we have to pay reparations, would feminism exists, would the borders be porous, would we be speaking Japanese?
The Japanese do hate our presence in their country. Now, even more. China has indicated that our military bases in Japan will be attacked in a conflict over Taiwan. In addition to that, Guam, Hawaii, and US warships in the South China Sea will also be targeted in an all out one strike offensive. They wrote the play book in The Art of War.

Two, it's "my story" of which you've had no part until now. But of course the rules were the same as both of our individual stories played out.. so there would be inherent similarities between our two different life stories. |
