Nothing random can increase convergence! Surely dreams aren't random. NOTHING is not random, and only thinking, as interesting as it can/may be, can muddle BEING IT. Interesting.

"You are yourself obviously an energy gestalt; as you become more fully conscious of reality your sense of identity will contain larger and larger aspects of reality.
Biologically all human beings, as you know them, have existed as the various cells of which a human image is composed. This is very difficult to explain clearly.
I do not mean to imply, necessarily, progression here. Theoretically, you see, you will one day be a fully conscious portion of the personal god to whom you may now pray. By then, you see, you will be aware of further gestalts.
All portions of All That Is do not recognize themselves consciously as All That Is. But know themselves mainly as individuals, not as the prime gestalt individual. When realization is reached at the highest level, then All That Is instantly creates new realities, and to some extent, you see, loses the conscious knowledge of its own identity.
The loss is always temporary and self-generated. This is quite enough on a difficult subject this evening."

"Now, you have been what would now seem to you to be chaotic energy—forming universes. You have drifted through interstellar space, not knowing yourself. You have traveled for eons without attaining the knowledge of your identity. You have traveled without knowing who or what you were as elemental particles of consciousness. You have gathered your strength and individuality. You have learned to handle energy. You have added to your consciousness. You have become more aware. You have learned to some extent, some small extent to this time, the responsibility of creativity. You are evolving. Each of you is evolving the forms by which you will manifest yourself. You have come a long way from undifferentiated chaos, in your present terms, to what you are. Notice, I did not say you came from undifferentiated chaos, but what you would now regard as that.
Within you is the elemental and vital consciousness that gives birth to all realities. You can feel this within you when you turn your backs upon the roles that you presently play. Then you can learn the meaning of those roles, for there is meaning in them. And there is no reason why it must escape you."

"Now I will say more concerning the changes worked in the ego as a result of our sessions, and from the psychedelic experience in general. The ego structure as such remains, of course. The responsibility of dealing with manipulation within the physical universe remains, but in some respects the nature of this manipulation changes. It becomes more direct: Physical properties are manipulated more and more on the mental level.
Many actual physical intervening steps are cut out. The ego becomes more similar to the inner ego than to its old self, comparatively speaking. This altered ego is aware of large portions of inner reality that were previously denied. Structurally it remains intact, and yet it has changed chemically, and electromagnetically. It is able to open up so that inner experience can be received.
In the past, for example, the ego accepted only knowledge that came through the senses through the physical surroundings. Now it is open to inner data to a large degree. Granted, certain interpretations must be made. Nevertheless, once this freedom is achieved, the ego can never return to its former state.
The personality is more integrated, yet through its acceptance of inner data, the ego, to use the term lightly, has expanded. It has not shrunk. It is now composed of various elements from the whole personality. Retaining its own consciousness of reality it can now afford to step out of itself momentarily in order to gain further experience."

"Electromagnetically all living things are connected, yet each retains individuality. There is no nirvana in those terms, in which individuality will be vanquished.
Individual selves will retain identity. They will be able to participate at a high level of awareness with the whole of which they are part. The whole is far more infinite than you can conceive. In a basic sense, the whole is aware of all of its parts, and in a basic sense all of its parts are aware of the whole. But each self must go its own way and develop its own abilities and explore the possibilities which it creates itself, otherwise the whole would stagnate.
The whole gains vivid experience through the life of its parts. The whole needs its segments. The vitality must constantly create itself in new patterns and each new pattern, of course, brings forth new possibilities of development."

"Computers, however grand and complicated, cannot dream, and so for all of their incredible banks of information, they must lack the kind of unspoken knowing knowledge that the smallest plant or seed possesses. Nor can any amount of information “possessed” or processed by any computer compare with the unspoken knowing knowledge that is possessed by the atoms and molecules that compose such an instrument. The computer is not equipped to perceive that kind of knowing. It is not equipped for such an endeavor because it cannot dream. In dreams the innate knowledge of the atoms and molecules is combined and translated. It serves as the bed of perceptual information and knowledge from which the dreaming state arises in its physical form."

"In the various levels of existence the inner and outer egos begin to merge. Gradually direct experience of inner reality is spoon-fed by the inner ego through the mouth of the subconscious to the outer ego. The division between the inner and outer egos is necessary for other reasons than the nature of direct experience itself. That is, the outer ego is shielded from direct experience of reality because it could not take the impact of such experience. But this is not the only reason." —TES1 Session 35 March 16, 1964

إن الأعلى من الأسفل والأسفل من الأعلى'iina al'aelaa min al'asfal wal'asfal min al'aelaa "That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above."— the Emerald Tablet, from the original Arabic, before the changes in the Latin and the paraphrase that would become popular with occultists: “as above, so below.” "When the outer ego, from the surface of its consciousness, reflects the outer world, it sees reflections of the inner ego which are the images within its own eye; and as the self creates matter subconsciously within its own eye, and as the self creates matter subconsciously and not consciously, and as the self creates matter in line with inner and not outer expectations, so then does the ego, in viewing the material universe, come face to face with the face of its own inner ego; and the outer ego cannot escape from this inner self."— TES3 Session 119 January 6, 1965

"Part of what I am about to say may sound callous, but you should see that such is not the case. From the viewpoint of the concerned and conscientious ego-self, truly there appears to be great and disastrous evils that overflow like poison the cup of human existence.
"When he sips of it, as you sipped of it, and as all conscientious human beings sip of it, then indeed the taste is bitter. It is not too farfetched however to add that all, or many, medicines have unfortunately a foul taste, and that the child who sips such a medicine finds it difficult to believe that such a distasteful brew can do him good.
"Basically, all action is. Basically there is no evil action. All is unfolding. With the limited perceptions that the ego has itself adopted, the whole is not visible, and it sees what it will see. Within your field, within your moral field, you must indeed strike out against that which appears evil to you.
"This is a responsibility laid upon you by the code of limitations which the ego itself has adopted as part of its own nature. You may find it most difficult to follow me here without any strong affirmation. However, as you do not blame, as you do not morally blame the wind for the tumultuous hurricane, and as you do not punish the wind, so you must somehow manage to understand that a wrongdoer, in your eyes, is no more or less to blame than this. It would be foolhardy to ignore the results of such activity. Nevertheless, I tell you now that there is much you do not see or know.
"You see perhaps havoc within the physical field, and this is indeed to be faced and dealt with, and set straight, as aid is given to the victims of a hurricane. But you are familiar only with the results of action as they appear within the physical field, as long as you insist upon viewing your physical universe with the eyes of the ego-self; for the ego-self attempts to cut itself off from that action of which it is a part, and in so attempting it loses contact with this larger reality.
"This loss of contact applies only to the ego. It does not apply to those other portions of the self, and it is through the inner self, through inner consciousness, that to some degree the nature of action can make itself known. And when it is made known it will be seen then that which you call evil represents a falling short of value fulfillment in a particular, or in any particular, case. There are always, as I believe you realize, those who court injustice and persecution. There are always those who persecute. There are those who murder, and there are those who seek to be slain.
"They seek each other out for many complicated reasons. This whole subject is difficult but I will not simplify matters, as I could. I would prefer to discuss it most thoroughly. Nothing here must ever be taken as a justification for evil, in humanity's terms. For many practical reasons at this point, it is necessary that man fight against what he considers evil, for he strengthens himself immeasurably by so doing.
"It is also true however, in a completely different framework, that evil is of his own creation, at least evil as he thinks of it. And if a crime is to be assigned in humanity's terms, often the victim is as guilty as the murderer, in basic terms, in terms of guilt that no court can weigh.
"We all have our roles. As we exist within various fields we focus upon these roles to the exclusion of much else.
"That part of us as you know which deals with these roles is the ego, which lives intimately the role which was assigned to it by the whole self, of which it is a part.

"The inner self, feeling itself part of action, is aware of facets of reality of which the ego is ignorant. It knows that roles can be reversed. There is so much here to be explained, and so many questions that must be answered. For I tell you, at the risk of being misunderstood grossly, that there is only one reality, and value fulfillment, which you may, if you like, equate with goodness.
"There is no such thing as evil, except for the phantoms which man has made. He sees hate in his own heart, what he call hate, which is but fear, so he projects it into another man's face and says the man hates him; and he may slay the man. But the hate never existed, that is, what mankind thinks of as hate never existed.
"Hate is unreasoning fear. Fear is caused by lack of understanding, by lack of value fulfillment. Hate is that which is not love. Love is fulfilled, or fulfilling, value fulfillment. It is action that knows itself, and that glorifies in its parts, that is separated to know itself, and in knowing itself is no longer separated.
"Hate is that which fears to join, and hence is separated, and that is all.
"If all men could learn to love, in terms of which I have spoken, then there would be no need for any kind of punishment within your field, and the word would vanish from your vocabulary. The subconscious is not the cause or the carrier of hatreds.
"The difficulty here is of an ego's refusal to assimilate subconscious experience.
"The ego may assimilate only a part of a given experience. Sometimes it will not assimilate or accept an experience at all. Remember here again that there is a difference between the ego and the consciousness of self. It is not necessary that the ego assimilate all experiences that are open to consciousness of self. Ego must have at hand, however, those experiences that are significant for manipulation within the physical environment.
"Any gap of assimilation here can be most unfortunate, and sometimes disastrous. Consciousness of self, if you recall, is self-consciousness that still retains self as a part of action, self that perceives its existence within action. Ego, originally a part of this consciousness of self, splits off as previously explained, and attempts to dissociate itself from action, indeed to view action as a result of itself; that is, to view action as a result and not a cause."

Where do thoughts come from? The Early Sessions: Book 8 of The Seth Material
SESSION 341 MAY 15, 1967 9 PM MONDAY
*****
Within your own system, thought becomes materialized, and there is literally no end to the activity of thoughts. Thoughts however are connected with language and with highly organized ego development. They are translations and symbols for inner activity. As a rule they are highly physically oriented, their function being to acquaint the physically adapted ego with some inner data. The thoughts may rather faithfully, though never completely, translate such data, or they may considerably distort it. Behind thoughts are images, which are more basic but still physically oriented. Because they are more basic, they have a stronger effect. They are more emotionally charged, more concise than thoughts, and they are directly connected with the mechanics involved in translating inner data to physical reality. Behind these, so to speak, exist what you may term temperature pictures, in which delicate gradations of heat form ever-shifting emotional patterns that do have a semiphysical outline. From these, you see, normal images are built up, and from the images thoughts are formed. Consciousness itself perceives directly, and these various methods of perception have been adopted to meet varying physical circumstances. Such thermal pictures are found in what is called the old brain, and to these, the body responds with changes of temperature that sparks various chemical reactions. In for example the worm, the process ends here. In so-called higher forms, the chemical process itself allows for the creation of an ordinary image. This brings about further thermal responses and chemical alterations, that allow the thought processes to proceed. All of these procedures are unnecessary to consciousness itself, however. They are necessary to develop communication between nonphysical consciousness and the physical form which it has adopted. Consciousness, in forming an image, or creating it, then responds to it creatively, setting up frameworks for further creative actions. Consciousness experiences reality directly, but having formed physical matter into a personal image, it must then creatively translate data to that physical brain. It must keep it informed. The brain looks out upon the physical universe, and consciousness then reacts, again creatively, to that environment. Information is now carried in reverse fashion back to the inner self, in an instantaneous and automatic procedure. Thus thought becomes an inner image which is translated into a thermal image, and then into intuitional form, into highly condensed and codified data, and then into a pure and direct sort of experience which you cannot understand as physical creatures. All of the information of the inner self is highly condensed and codified, and exists in electromagnetic purity.
*****
Now, the process does not cease at the physical boundaries of the self however. The data thus far has been seen as traveling from the inner self outward, as being translated from pure knowledge into thermal pictures, inner images and thoughts. Obviously words and action follow. The actions result in concrete physical materializations. These are all highly colored and charged, however, and the stuff of physical materialization is in itself conscious and alive. There are hidden but very definite connections between the self and the objects of which it has created in its environment. The environment is simply an extension of the self, and those objects within it are a part of the physical or the physically materialized personality. Hence your ideas of ownership.
*****
Now, you arbitrarily decide on the personal physical image as the exterior boundary of the self. As you know, in actuality, no such physical boundary exists. It is the result of your perception. Even physically, you see, no such boundary exists. You can see this for example in epidemics. The physical self extends outward, literally, to the ends of your universe, but the physical brain could not handle this amount of manipulation, and it has become subconscious. Early man recognized his relationships more clearly. Specialized man, physically, cannot afford to. Physically you are a part of your environment, and you form it as you form your image. There is much more to be said here, and we shall go into it more deeply soon. For this is not a symbolic relationship but a practical one. Jung was correct in postulating a collective unconscious. But with his limited knowledge he did not see that this unconscious would exist outside of your three-dimensional system entirely, holding future as well as past, nor that it has such a cohesive effect upon humanity as a whole. It is the one self with its origins within your system, but its existence outside. The collective unconscious is not static however, and itself interacts and constantly changes. These are all phases of constant creativity within your system. You constantly add to the collective unconscious, and constantly receive from it. You change what you receive, however. Each physical object has a psychic effect on all other objects, and a psychic existence that is independent of its physical existence. There is constant interaction between all objects, and several will create a pervading psychic climate that affects those who come in contact with it.
