Jerry Garcia was a creep! "creep" is too subjective a word to use as a baseline for discussion but regardless, Jerry was a very fine story teller, and I find the stories of his experiences interesting to listen to Did my comment offended a deadhead? And yes, it's subjective. I never was into Greatful Dead anyway. Not my favourite kind of music. They never got me like other musicians do. I never understood the hype about them. Not that it is crappy music or something like that, it just doesn't turn me on. I had the solo Jerry Garcia cd's. But I sold them for a few bucks as I needed money some years ago, along with other stuff of that kind. And there are aligatations out there that Jerry GarCIA might have been an agent. Promoting and distributing l.s.d. for the sake of experiementing with it on a larger scale, hyping substance-use as the method for freeing your mind. Just like Terrence McKenna admitted on a talk in Esalen that he is an agent, who works from behind. And the Greatful Dead haven't been political in a time where it was important to take a political stance. That's another reason why I don't like Jerry, besides his vibe I don't enjoy. You want me to provide evidence for the aligations that Jerry Garcia might have been an agent? I think he is creepy because I'm not a fan of psychedelic-substance promoters, who are heavily addicted to all sorts of substances themselfs, like Jerry was. How free is someone who is a heroin addict? Miles Davis was a heroin addict too but he never openly promoted substance-abuse as a way of freeing your mind. Not only that is why I prefer Miles Davis, who I do not consider as a creep, although many may have perceived him as such. |
