Max: Maybe you meant to type Powder instead of 'power'? Also, Waterworld was good -- as was another Kostner movie The Postman which I've watched many times and will again. Bullworth one of my faves Being John Malkovich too weird; Raising Arizona my kind of weird... Farmer: Dances with Wolves was NOT gay. ============= Liked and would watch again: Longriders Rain Man

It's about political campaign manager (Gere) -- good behind the scenes, lack of scruples angle on campaign finance, media manipulation, etc.

My list: Good Will Hunting - Robin Williams was awesome, Damon quite good, Afleck .. mehPretty Woman - always nice to see a hooker get a big break ;-)Goodfellas - Scorcese is overated. Joe Pesci best gangster of all time. Pulp Fiction - 'The gimp in the box' "gonna go medieval" - lolForrest Gump or Green Mile or Saving Private Ryan or pretty much any Tom Hanks film. I guessShawshank Redemption - brilliant movieThe Big Lebowski Donnie Darko - too weird for my tasteSchindlers List - mehSilence of the Lambs - Hopkins scariest villain evaDances with wolves - gayThere will be Blood - Day Lewis incredible performance, 'milkshake' scene ;-) Fargo "wood chipper" lolIntouchables (about the handicapped guy and his black caretaker) French version. Star Wars - cheesy cheeseLord of the Rings - Awesome (but still no where as good as the book)Visually one of the most impactful movies I ever remember was Avatar in 3D at the movie theater. Insanely good flick visually. - wearing 3-D glasses sucks, but yeah, cool flick Gladiator God Father Casino Full Metal Jacket Scent of a Woman Apocalypse Now Rudy Training Day Point Break Dead Poets Society Gladiator --good but not russels best movie. Have to say beautiful mind was better. Still errrks me that they didn't give him an Oscar for that performance. God Father-of course. I've just seen it so many times from having worked in an Italian restaurant where it was played every shift that I've grown numb to it. Casino--surprising good. But not better than Goodfellas. Full Metal Jacket-- great flick. On my DVD shelf. Scent of a Woman-- yeah maybe. Apocalypse Now-- over rated. Didn't really think it was alllllll that. Rudy-- one of the best sport movies ever. Even if its totally a BS story. Training Day--puke. Denzel didn't deserve the Oscar. I think that he actually beat out Russel Crowe that year of Beautiful Mind. Complete BS if ya ask me. Point Break-- Keanu!!! Dead Poets Society--classic Robin Williams. Dude is awesome. My favorite scene in Good Will Hunting is when he and Damon sit on the park bench. "If I ask you about the Sistine Chapel, you can probably tell all about the artist. But you've never actually looked up at that beautiful ceiling...." And Dude....no comment on the Dude's movie?? Dude......seriously dude.....if you haven't seen the dude, you need to see it ASAP. Mr Lebowski requests your presence dude.....

Oh yea, Beautiful Mind, a great movie. Why is Rudy total BS? It's based on a true story.....the team really did carry him off the field......
Anybody else see The Thirteenth Floor? Excellent....sort of Inception-like.....

"Stone" with De Niro, Ed Norton and Mila Jockavich from 2010. Major spiritual subplot. Line to De Niro from Norton: "oh I know what you're feeling and I'm pulling for you buddy! .. Just let it go ... let it all go ... just burn it all down to the ground ... let it all go up in smoke ... you have NO idea of the freedom on the other side ..." I watched this, was pretty good.

I just googled it, but it isn't the one I thought it was -- not even sure if it's Kostner, but the one with Madonna, Geena Davis, I believe? Wasn't a favorite but I thought it was worth seeing. I haven't seen any of the latest Disney animated films - not even Avatar but plan on it.....my older favorites in that genre are Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and Hercules - just off the top of my head.

Nah man, that's the Tom hanks movie "League of Their Own" actually not a bad one either from what I remember. I just watched him in "Captain Phillips," good movie, made me a little woozy though.

Speaking of Milla Jovovich, guilty pleasure, The Fifth Element.....love the orange hair....
and....anyone see The Messenger, Joan of Arc? Excellent movie, Milla Jovovich as Joan, pretty brutal, blood and gore, heads and limbs flying off... and a terrible scene, Joan seeing her sister raped and killed.......(not for the faint of heart)......
