What's that got to do with anything? What do you mean by 'that'? And what do you mean by 'anything'? I say that you are trying to engage me in a straw man discussion. What does word frequency have to do with the point I was making? I'm not the one who wants to avoid war. That's Autumn. I don't care if that thread ends in war or not.

I'm not the one who wants to avoid war. That's Autumn. I don't care if that thread ends in war or not. Well that's the thing, it seems like you do care, by your own metric. Isn't word frequency the basis for your comment here? I'm in the UK, so it may be a language difference, but 'fog of war' isn't an expression I have heard before. Could you go into more detail about what it means please. I don't view this thread as being remotely like a war, so the questions aren't very relevant to my view point. However, they are relevant to the view that you have shared here. I've spent years looking with a critical eye at the issues/conditioning/experiences etc that cloud the view. And I've never shied away from sharing the issues of the mind with others. I'm far from being a fully enlightened soul and have no interest in being seen as one. So when I ask you about your fog, it's not a war-like challenge. It's one unenlightened being chatting to another unenlightened being about the possibilities of self-exploration and dealing with those parts of the mind that get in the way of clarity. As I said in a previous post, if you see nothing more than an invitation for an argument or war, then maybe it is better for you to walk away. You are responsible for your view... I will state categorically that I am not inviting an argument or war. And yet, all you do is talking about war. Pretty foggy in here, indeed. And then here: In conversation it is quite usual to refer to the words the other has used - isn't it? If you don't want war, then you have to turn your focus away from war and ignore everything war-like. That's LOA 101. But that requires a certain power of focus which you obviously don't have or else you wouldn't just go wherever the discussion goes. Basically the topic you want to explore here is forum meltdowns. I find that pretty odd. It's troll-like. Just my impression though. What am I missing here?

What does that have to do with my point? I used the words war to communicate to Autumn that if she wants to avoid war she has to ignore everything war-like and don't use the word war. That was the point. What does my word frequency have to do with my point? My focus is not on ending war. If it would be, you would have a valid point. But it isn't. So, what am I missing here, Max?

The point you are making, as I understand it, is that leaf's frequency of the use of the word "war" belies an inherent focus on war. The point I'm making is that, by your metric, you have a greater frequency of the use of the word "war" which belies an even greater focus on war. Now you say that your focus is not on 'ending war.' That's obvious. Your focus, using your metric, is war -- even greater than battle hungry autumnleaf. And yes, now you can ably make an argument that I'm also focused on war. However, peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace peace. Whew! that should do it. My greater point is that your frequency of word usage is more LOA intoxicated whackiness.

If someone speaks on the subject of war, naturally that word will be prominent. The focus is greater only because it is the subject at hand.

It makes sense to go where the meltdowns are plentiful in order to study them. Who's always at the scene of the crime? The criminal? The criminal-z. As everyone knows, it takes two. Yanno? yinnin' and yangin'.

The point was that Autumn keeps speaking of war. Even if I would have used the word war a hundred times more than she did and declared my own focus to be on war. How does that refute my point that she keeps speaking of war?

Elementary, my dear Watson. (Okay, who has the monocled emoticon?) What!? Did you even read my posts? Sometimes, I do agree with you, just not this time around. Who's to say what accounts for agreeing or not? Maxy just made clear sense to me on this one. *shrug*

Maxy just made clear sense to me on this one. *shrug* Well, he makes sense if you assume that his point was actually my point. Which it wasn't. That was just a straw man he wanted to burn no matter what.
