1) You do understand that I made no reference to FA in my reply to figgles right? My reply to her had nothing to do with the FA thread. Now I know that the OP in this thread is about FA, but what I wrote had nothing to do with FA.

Now I know that the OP in this thread is about FA, but what I wrote had nothing to do with FA. That's ok, it's not a problem, I replied in general, not to you personally. As said, the reference to the FA thread is insignificant to this discussion except to acknowledge where I took the quoted text from. It is more honest to acknowledge it than to pretend the FA thread never happened. My apologies if to anyone, if it seems like I am bringing up more than that. But it is the feelings that people have expressed of being in fog or overwhelmed with insanity that I find interesting, and that I'm interested in finding out more about. There's no point coming to such revelations and doing nothing with that surely.

Okay. Two odd observations about this thread: 1) You don't want food fights happening in your thread and yet you did start your thread in the unmoderated section? I don't know what you were thinking when you did that but forum history shows that you can't protect your thread against food fighters without heavy moderation. So your thread seems a little misplaced. 2) You don't want food fights happening in your thread and yet the topic of this thread is premium food fight material. I put it in the unmoderated section so that people could express themselves honestly without the thread being disrupted and put in multiple sections. I do believe that people can have heated discussion and let the discussion move forward with enough respectful tolerance of misunderstandings and the patience to explain further. I realise I can only express a preference. But I'm expressing that preference because I don't see any need for every unmoderated thread to go the same way. Adults can self-moderate. I hope that you can see more than premium food fight material here, and can offer instead, some insights into what is happening when someone goes into a fog, or gets overwhelmed on a thread. It is an interesting subject that has the potential for spiritual exploration. You are on a non-duality forum here. I don't see the connection to non-duality in your endeavor.

Fog, as used in FA, obviously refers to "fog of war".
That thread, as this one, was war from the very first word.
Any word written in such a thread has the potential to become a projectile.
Where is the target? Where is the warrior? Where is the enemy? Where is the flag? Where is the homefront?
Where are you ... right now, in this instant?

Where is the target? Where is the warrior? Where is the enemy? Where is the flag? Where is he homefront? Where are you ... right now, in this instant? I peeing on trees to mark out my territory and raising a flag to flout my acrimony. I'm stitching a Hells Angels patch on my jacket and buying a gun for 'self protection'. I'm collecting people for strength in numbers and sharpening stakes for slaying vampires. I'm building big crosses to crucify Christs and walking every road hunting down Buddhas. I'm joining the Free Masons, becoming a Satanist, Thinking about scientology, communicating with aliens and joining the Tea Party. I'm playing Deep purple because I love Ritchie Blackmore and casting curses on Justin Beiber... and I'm posting on Facebook and st.org at the same time.

I'm not disputing the fact, I wouldn't know. But there is nothing anywhere to indicate that this is a non-duality forum. It is called 'spiritual teachers' and it's write up has no mention of non-duality or of the forum being a single faith forum. So more information required.

Where is the target? Where is the warrior? Where is the enemy? Where is the flag? Where is the homefront? Where are you ... right now, in this instant? I'm in the UK, so it may be a language difference, but 'fog of war' isn't an expression I have heard before. Could you go into more detail about what it means please. I don't view this thread as being remotely like a war, so the questions aren't very relevant to my view point. However, they are relevant to the view that you have shared here. I've spent years looking with a critical eye at the issues/conditioning/experiences etc that cloud the view. And I've never shied away from sharing the issues of the mind with others. I'm far from being a fully enlightened soul and have no interest in being seen as one. So when I ask you about your fog, it's not a war-like challenge. It's one unenlightened being chatting to another unenlightened being about the possibilities of self-exploration and dealing with those parts of the mind that get in the way of clarity. As I said in a previous post, if you see nothing more than an invitation for an argument or war, then maybe it is better for you to walk away. You are responsible for your view... I will state categorically that I am not inviting an argument or war.

In conversation it is quite usual to refer to the words the other has used - isn't it?

So far you look like a troll to me or like someone with next to zero self-awareness.

You are welcome to form your personal opinion. But I hope you won't justify abuse due to that opinion.
I am being polite and friendly.
I am not a troll, and it is impossible to have zero self awareness.

In conversation it is quite usual to refer to the words the other has used - isn't it? If you don't want war, then you have to turn your focus away from war and ignore everything war-like. That's LOA 101. But that requires a certain power of focus which you obviously don't have or else you wouldn't just go wherever the discussion goes. Basically the topic you want to explore here is forum meltdowns. I find that pretty odd. It's troll-like. Just my impression though.
