Greetings.. *watching silence bang his head against the wall* *cracks open a pair of beers* There's an open one for ya when ya get done.... Being told someone's beliefs aren't beliefs because they can be found on Google is usually the right time to slowly back out of the conversation. No, you don't grasp your own ignorance.. you made an accusation that cannot be validated, you stated that i made-up my understandings of terms i use from 'thin air'.. and, i suggested that you research those terms and note the similarities between the commonly used references and the understandings i shared, to help you understand that i didn't 'make them up', but.. you don't even want to get past your own ignorance, preferring that to actually doing the research.. so, now i'm just curious and amused at how far down that rabbit-hole you will go, let's see.. Be well..

Greetings.. In all sincerity, there is an ambiguity in these words. It might mean one of the following: 1) A psychological state that is justified is not a belief. 2) There are justifiable and justified beliefs, and then there are beliefs that are not. Which one of these did you intend to convey? Hi Bill: "Regardless of justification", was conveyed with the intention to illustrate that the believer holds the belief to be true without regard to justification, such that without justification, or whether justification supports the belief or not, the believer remains attached to the belief.. The term 'justifiable' has a dependent quality, based on " reasonable and necessarily plausible assertions/evidence/guidance".. such that the believer's justification may or may not adequately 'justify' such belief.. your example 1) doesn't differentiate between valid or invalid justification, so.. the sociopath can justify their behavior by stating that ' it doesn't matter, people aren't real they're just imagined'.. is that valid justification? As for your example 2), the example is stated correctly, but.. without differentiating between valid justification and invalid justification there is ambiguity as to the validity of the belief.. hence, that is the differentiation i was trying to convey by including 'valid belief' as 'knowledge'.. it is not sufficient to stipulate a belief as 'justified', if the basis for that justification is not based on " reasonable and necessarily plausible assertions/evidence/guidance".. Be well.. Thanks for the honest, open reply Bob. What I take from this is that Tzu holds: 1) That there are potential psychological states where the experiencer might hold a proposition or supposition to be true that are, in turn, based on reasonable and necessarily plausible assertions/evidence/guidance (ie: they are justified). 2) Such states are not what Tzu refers to as belief. Do I have this right?

Only perceptions have favorite words... I'd change it to perceived but perceptions tend to do what perceptions do...
