Also, would anybody like to reply to the last post I made on page 4? Crikey, talk about making your reader work. You couldn't have included a reference? Hmm, hmm, scroll, scroll. Ok, you mean this one: Bottom line. The OP of this thread is ultimately a mental reaction to that which does not act or react. The reacting mind likes this passive non-reactiveness because of what it calls its inherent innocence, effortlessness, changelessness, choicelessness, peacefulness, perfection and completeness. Because the mind likes it, its next reaction is to point to it, and to be curious about the way other minds may react to it.
Going deeper, how might these minds react when they discover that this passive non-reactiveness is actually the eternal FACT of their entire existence, and so is what they TRUELY ARE? And scroll scroll work some more and...Ah. You, Stillness, are the OP of this thread. OK, now your post is starting to make sense. Hmm. Well what comes to mind for me is this: Everything that exists, changes. So this non-existant changeless thing you've got going on can only be a product of mind. Otherwise, how can you know anything about it? So that would suggest to me that your mind is a reaction to it's own creation. Like an Ouroboros. Secondly on the subject of referring to yourself in the third person:

Hi Ompaz, welcome to the board.
Are you able to say what form your addiction is taking? I've just finished a 9 month course myself, which focused on moving towards a healthy life rather than seeing mere continual abstinence as a goal in itself. It views all addictions as basically having the same cause - unhealthy emotional managment techniques that are unfortunately somewhat effective so they get repeated. Then escalated.
Terri, welcome also. As to whether or not you're in the "correct place for wisdom", I think only you can be the judge. Congratulations on getting past your addiction.
Best Wishes, Peter

Ive already explained what I have less tolerance for these days. Isn't one of the goals of the Work we're doing here to develop more tolerance, not less? Well, I mean, for those of us who think there's still work to do. Those who have announced that there is "nothing to be done and no-one to do it" can't be expected to improve their characters at this stage in the game, so there's little point in trying to make them. Or so I see it.

I have asked the young and old, and among them, the hippest cats I know, but not a one has been able to tell me what GROK means. What, you didn't ask the Urban Dictionary?!? www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=grokNeither did you try Google or Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GrokSorry, and I feel bad for teasing especially when we've just lost our moderator but....How did you manage to find this site?!? Congratuations on your post centennial. Peter

Do you like to show people/gurus to be wrong? Let me guess: No, but this is the 'higher calling' for the moment. For whatever reason, I feel moved to point out a steaming pile of B.S. That might be what you're seeing. What I see is a fair mirror being shown back to you. I'm sure it's not "whatever reason". I'm sure if you thought about it, you'd find the source of your motivation there. Zendancer bowing out bothers me. You didn't used to be so abrasive, Andrew.

Nobody means anything bad actually. Perhaps, but they don't necessarily mean anything useful or positive either.

Definitely not moderating. Primarily corresponding with people privately. I lost interest in reading or getting involved in threads that seemed overly contentious and disrespectful Can't say I blame you, ZD. Well as long as we'll still have you around in some capacity, I won't feel the loss of your badge too keenly. Maybe we'll have to self moderate now. Was it Jonson that said (and I'll paraphrase for the pun) "Abstinence is as easy to me, as moderation would be difficult." It's the rate of posting that I've been struggling with this past year. Back in the day I could catch up with every post made since the night before (and since I'm in CET, that's most of them) in 20 minutes. Now I just cannot keep up. Which is why I've finally realised you're leaving us four days later! Anyhoo, good luck with the projects and dancing. Peter

Okay, well, sometimes, when I have questions (like, who exactly is this Mr. G under discussion) He's Arisha's Guru who she claims has her - somewhat reluctantly - under remote/telepathic mind control. See here and here.

I'm looking for p*ssy. That isn't necessarily ridiculously simple. Looking for it here is simply ridiculous.

Are you really 22 as your profile says? I get the impression you think you've got a long long life ahead of you, and you've no idea what you want to do with it. It'll pass, soon enough. ROFL, Peter thinks he is wiser than me. What a pretentious incorrect douche. No I don't think about the future like that. If I am stuck somewhere, it would be in the past, not the future. I don't care about things enough where I escape into the future to avoid imaginary problems. And yes, I am as old as my profile says. You started out so positive here LG, so proud that you had the highest karma/posts ratio. Then, I don't know, you found that Tusken raiders had kidnapped your mom or something and headed off to the temple to take out some younglings. Yeah, I can hear that you don't care, that's coming through loud and clear. My point being: What is it you want to do with your life, and do you think what you're doing here is going to help you acheive it?

I'm the chosen one, like Neo from the Matrix. Are you really 22 as your profile says? I get the impression you think you've got a long long life ahead of you, and you've no idea what you want to do with it. It'll pass, soon enough.

Also, if we go by number of posts, your ego is number 1 for dominance of this forum. I bet this precious little forum you think you own is feeling challenged. Lemon, you're not a seeker. Neither are you a teacher. What are you, half citrus fruit / half troll?
