Sometimes we forget we have a body. It takes one let us know by giving this body a blow. Who forgets they have a body? Krsna says in the Bhagavad Gita chapter 15 text 15: " I am seated in everyone's heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas am I to be known; indeed I am the compiler of Vedanta, and I am the knower of the Vedas."

Don't ask the question, experience the answer. Have you thought of tying a string around your finger?? I suffered a heart attack 12 years ago. At present I don't feel anything what's wrong with my heart because I am into medication. Until I chose to stop taking my medications I start to experience palpitations. Same with the body. We don't receive a blow until it thirsts /hungers. Yet there are people who can control thirst /hunger by going into samadhi. So, the only way for me to tell I suffered a heart attack is when I have an ECG taken that says Post MI then I become aware I have a diseased heart..

I'm aware of my body continuously, even when there is no pain (or pleasure). There is always sensation. The feel of clothing on my skin, or a breeze, or pressure in contact with something. The breath expanding my lungs. If nothing else, there's a kinesthetic sense.

That it's only a mechanical thing supporting consciousness. That the body is a robot with a head. What keeps it working is the heart the brain. That we are not this body. We are spirit souls encage in bodies. The real identification is that we are all part and parcel of a bigger spirit soul God

I am part and parcel of the supreme soul Krsna." Yes I believe. The body is made of organs and tissues bone muscle urine stool mucus, blood cartilage You don't identify with that. It's a denial thing.

The world is appearing to what you are, including the body. I agree the body is not a mechanism in which Consciousness forms. Rather, the body forms in Consciousness. What keeps it working is...Consciousness. I dunno about big spirit souls, but what I call Consciousness is what You are. It's always simpler that you think it is.

The newborn does not know he's still an infant only Consciousness does. When we grow older we are not aware we are still a boy unless an adult tells we are still a boy..Changes in the body occur because of sex hormones the body being primed for reproduction so it can produce a child in the womb of a mature female body. There are even people who say women have the mentality of 12 year olds. But Consciousness is beyond age grouping. Sometimes it behaves like an 80 year old or a 5 year old. For example, Krsna's body appeared just like a 16 year old boy but he was already 125 years old. Okay if Consciousness is the totality of Being we call awareness why do Vaisnava masters incalcate into the minds of their disciples Krsna consciousness? Does it mean to say it's not enough to be Conscious? That one's Consciousness should be dovetailed to Krsna?

The body is made of organs and tissues bone muscle urine stool mucus, blood cartilage You don't identify with that. It's a denial thing. If you really are spirit soul, why would you need a mantra to deny a body that will die anyway? It's a form of mental conditioning in convincing the mind body don't exist.
