Steve, if you want me to ban you then just say so. We don't have to go thru the motions and waste each others time and valuable forum space. I am getting the impression that you, like Satch, are thinking about leaving the forum anyway but can't really make up your mind because you are looking for a more convenient way out that lets you save face. I haven't posted here in months And then only briefly...amd then it was years before that that I posted here....soooooo Giraffe! 1st Warning Don't start a Crusade or it will be your 2nd Warning ;-) |

Gopal, please honor the no giraffes rule and provide links or quotes that back up your claims. If you should fail to do so either apologize for making false claims or get a warning. Your choice. Because Reefs is a stupid and childish idiot, this shows that ZD is also an idiot to choose Reefs as a moderator. ZD must have fought with his wife as usual and came to forum to choose Reefs as a moderator to create the problem here. Peter is such a good and straightforward moderator that I ever known, but this psychopath moderator Reefs doesn't know what to do. I love the guy...good human being
But i respect your opinion even if it differs from mine
In my experience Reefs is an extremely passive aggressive troller of anybody who shares different views than himself and an inflamer tensions in the forum in the past.
But lets see how it goes...so far the tone doesn't look good.
I would rather see Enigma be moderator over Reefs
Both seem to be hovering around most of the drama that unfolds around here, but Enigma I could see setting aside his ego and try to apply pure logic and deduction to his principles of moderation.
While so far, Reefs seems to be approaching the job like someone who is tired of all the people he percieves to be idiots or somehow beneath him and is excited about the oppertunity to enforce his thought paradigm.

Measures should be taken to encourage less hostile, more tolerant, more open discussion here...I agree with ZD wholeheartedly on that...but putting Reefs in charge of making that happen seems like a good way disrupt everything thats good about a forum like this along with the bad.

FYI, Gopal, I didn't have anything to do with choosing Reefs as a moderator, but I strongly endorse his willingness to do what he's attempting to do. Measures should be taken to encourage less hostile, more tolerant, more open discussion here...I agree with ZD wholeheartedly on that...but putting Reefs in charge of making that happen seems like a good way disrupt everything thats good about a forum like this along with the bad. I sorta expected this kind of outrage from some members. It is what it is now. Deal with it. I think there should be a rule that if you ask a peep a question more than 6 times and they still deliberately avoid answering then they should be whipped or stoned (or a bit of both)  That will work, as long as the one who asks questions more than 5 times in a row is shot on sight. |

I will offer some advice though. This forum is not YOUR forum. You would do well to remember that as a moderator, your job is to enforce the TOS, and whatever mutually agreed upon additional rules that the community here chooses for itself.Not to shape or limit the discussion...or choose whose interpretations are valid and whether or not someone should be agreeing with someone else on a timetable that you determine is appropriete based on your own interpretation of events. Agreement is not the same as acquiescence. You can force acquiescence, but you can never force agreement...which by its very nature requires often hard won consensus through a rigorous exchange of ideas and communication. I would argue that at a forum like this, one has no business trying to FORCE acquiescence OR agreement. Do you know why? While democratic moderation is an option, I'm pretty sure that's not the option in effect here.  |

Gopal, I've seen you come back as 'mu' - don't do this! You've been banned permanently. If you try to circumvent this ban with new accounts and via proxy servers then your new accounts will be banned immediately and everything you post with these accounts will be deleted as well.
