And finally...the title of this thread (that you chose) along with the terse tone and addressing the contributors here as "All"...well, maybe I shouldn't interpret too much? I will offer some advice though. This forum is not YOUR forum. You would do well to remember that as a moderator, your job is to enforce the TOS, and whatever mutually agreed upon additional rules that the community here chooses for itself. Not to shape or limit the discussion...or choose whose interpretations are valid and whether or not someone should be agreeing with someone else on a timetable that you determine is appropriete based on your own interpretation of events. Agreement is not the same as acquiescence. You can force acquiescence, but you can never force agreement...which by its very nature requires often hard won consensus through a rigorous exchange of ideas and communication. I would argue that at a forum like this, one has no business trying to FORCE acquiescence OR agreement. Do you know why? This is something written very well, Very true! Said it very well. |

This is something written very well, Very true! Said it very well. It's helpful to remember that Shawn Nevins set up this forum, and he established the basic rules for it. The staff is not interested in forcing agreement about anything; it's interested in creating a civil space for sincere seekers or finders to discuss spiritual or psychological issues related to non-duality and/or Self-realization. Can you please answer me a few of my questions of mine? Nowadays forum is moving in a very peaceful way. No problem as for as I am aware. Said that, what's the need of Reefs being a new moderator? As you know Peter is doing a excellent Job here as a complete neutral moderator, Said that, Why Reefs? As you know Reefs can't even find peace with anybody here, he is first cause of all mocking, derision, but you made him a moderator, why? You know there are some forum like 'steve paulina' where there was a thread created 'whether Reefs has to be banned or not', So You are unnecessarily creating a problem in the forum which is in complete peace now. Nobody likes this act, Steve,Satch and rest of all. But Is there anybody come up to you and saying that Peter is not doing his Job well like Figgles has reported to you about Laughter long back and it's happening with Reefs now. Can you please give me a honest reply to all my question? Or please let me know If I am asking any wrong questions, I am ready to accept whatever you say! |

Steve, if you want me to ban you then just say so. We don't have to go thru the motions and waste each others time and valuable forum space. I am getting the impression that you, like Satch, are thinking about leaving the forum anyway but can't really make up your mind because you are looking for a more convenient way out that lets you save face. |

As a newer member of this forum I'd like to say that I agree with Reefs and ZD. Not that I'm into forcing others into compliance and conforming but this community definitely has a petty side that can use some taming.
