Folks talk about post Truth-Realization / Self-Realization / Enlightenment as involving a process whereby they learn to live in the world (even though they are not 'of' it). In Zen there is the return to the marketplace, for example. Or the 'third mountain' idea of: first there was a mountain, then there was no mountain, then there was. All a meaningless 'talk', Max. Look into your real Self and ask what it is capable of? Come to Cam, and I will show you what you really are. Oops, wrong marketplace. Must be over that yonder mountain. *gets back on bull* |

The question 'Who am I' is very easy to answer, it is not a mystery AT ALL.
I know without a doubt that this human Truth will not be accepted here, it is too uncomfortable for humans to speak of. I said to Jed that no one will ever have the guts to consider it, because 'enlightement' creates MINDLESS drones. They hide behind conversations about what it is, and in the meantime forget to have a good look at themselves.
Jed, unforunately, knows all that, and he is very very secure. The system is fail safe, just as he spoke of his love of Infinite Games. He is extremely intelligent, way beyond what any average person in the street is.
You need to ask yourselves why in twenty years of existence of his books NO ONE ever came forward to claim they know him.

So what you're saying is that if Max goes to Phnom Penh he will immediately sexually exploit children because he is human. No. What I am saying it will show what he tuly is. He might exploit children (you know it is devastatingly present here), he might exploit h*ookers or he might do none of it. I know some men here who did none of it, and they left within a year or so. Not many. Jed has been in SE Asia for.. a long time. This is the real litmus test. Not the useless debates that take place here. Words are a penny a dozen. I'm sympathetic. If JM is doing this stuff I can consider believing in Hell so he can go there. |

Not the marketplace I imagined! I can understand tano's disgust. I met an Australian chap once who worked for an organisation in Cambodia rescuing under age girls from this terrible scourge. Max, you need to be able to entertain the nature of Paradox: existence of many self excluding instances. Jed is both a charlatan and not a charlatan. And let's establish what 'Enlightenement' is. It is exactly what it says on the tin: Clear Vision (you can call it 'light', as in lighting the room), seeing Reality as is, without a blindfold, understanding the nature of human existence, perceiving its unphatomable quality, seeing Human Condition and what it means for Humanity past, present and future. It takes clear Mind and absense of pink coloured glasses. Does Jed have all these within him? Oh absolutely. So to answer your question of whether he is lying about 'knowing enlightenment' (a strange phrase, but ok..) no, his intelligent perception is accurate and lucid. He also knows that 'enlightenment' is a lie, because changes nothing. It is IMPOSSIBLE to change anything. Remember the Buddha? 'I gained nothing from Enlightement'?.... Very true, there is nothing to gain, but clear mind, but that changes nothing. What then? So you have clear mind, you see things as they are... now what? Well... what happens then.. is your true nature will take over, and here you need to understand what is meant by 'true nature' (which I am not discussing here). The question is not whether one can see clearly, but what one does with all that clear vision.. and one can be an 'enlightened' serial killer, absolutely. True Nature. Or a child abuser... or a wh*re monger.. or simply live their life unknown and depart this world without leaving a trace. There are many paths off the mountain.. and the mountain has never existed in the first place. Max, get that... what you see around you is all there is.What people do to themselves and to one another - is all there is. Physical laws of nature which are unbreakable. Human societies which are manifestation of what a human IS truly and without sugar coating. There are no unicorns, no Third Eye, no alternative realities, no time travel, no enlightened beings. There are humans who see clearly that none of it is true, but all is real, and yet... the human mortality and the short life span of a human places you into a non existence category, for your life never took off, and before you know it - you will perish like a stray dog, and no one will give a sh*it. Jed got that. And he will play the Game for all its worth. Why? He is a manipulator by nature. No barrier, he takes what is of personal value to him, because he is One and Only. No one else exists (important) in his universe. He will take it, and will create the demand if no one offers any goods. And in that - he is a charlatan selling tomatos from an empty cart. For that matter.. ANY 'guru' out there is a charlatan. They've got nothing that you don't have.. which is 'you' You have You already and need nothing else. And one day - there will be no you. Simples. Jed said to me once 'There is nothing I can tell you that you don't know already' True. He also knew I was the one to watch, but curiosity got the better of him. It is all utterly simple. I have placed it here, I said I don't want to talk about what does not exist. All is Lie, way to go, Jed. I just don't accept what his true nature turned out to be. |

The gap between the mask and true Self can be very small in some human cases, and massive - in others. Ramana, for instance, chose to not engage to the best of his human ability. Not 100%, it is impossible not to, unless one is living on a desert island or is dead. Nisargadatta, on the other hand, was fully engaged. Do you know he was known to frequent Bombay brothels? Awww.... a human.

It's reads to me like a good description of dissillusionment and despair. If only the word acceptance had featured just once. There is no 'despair', but the last disillusionment, yes. There is something unpalatable, unsavory in picking up very young women the age of your grandaughter for f**cks. They wouldn't have chosen this kind of life, given other options.They do it out of destitute desperation, and here white privilliged dudes come and take full advantage of. Can you not see that this is a covert form of abuse? Others hear about it on the grapevine, and come in droves, rinse and repeat.. and you are part of it, training these young women to play the game according to your f*cked up ways. Males are very open with me about their endeavors here, down to the use of vaselin. I listen, I do not condemn, but it does not mean I accept. Is there an inner barrier called 'conscience'? So what exactly do you suggest to be 'accepted'? You speak of Unreality here. I also said to Jed that he can sleep easy. No one sees anything particularly unsavory about it. Very few understand the true nature of Human Condition and its unchangability. You talk about Unreality here, about mental concepts, which are bubbles covering up what people are and what they are capable of at a slightest push. You are not qualified, Satch. Gender, geography and your past personal reality biased, with a false idea of 'spiritual awakening and spiritual advancement'. It isn't so. Jed would be the first to tell you that none of it is true. Enlightenment does not exist. What exists are humans which believe they are enlightened. Boundless Emptiness is a ticket, an excuse to manifest your true state. But YOUR true state is different from mine or any other being on earth. So... who are you? Are you capable of 'innocent' fun? ... From the four books I've read I only remember a bit of the chapter Truman Show (in Theory of Everything). I won't put quotes etc.. but I looked at it again and I think that what is usually described as 'beyond' (in which there is not you, me, self, etc) includes conscience. I know this is some mystical approach.. but better than silence, for me. |
