If you had to summarize your spiritual practice in one sentence, if you had to give your "elevator pitch" for spirituality so to speak, what would you say? "Rest in the knowing of your experience" is a phrase that I wrote down one day while sitting in the park, and it's so incredibly unoriginal I wouldn't dare claim any ownership of the idea, but it has served as a great practice for me. ("Practice" for me meaning not a process that produces some future enlightenment, but rather a stepping into that enlightenment and allowing conditioning to dissolve there.) Nice to be with all of you here!

Shifting attention away from thoughts to direct sensory perception, and contemplating what I wanted to know, were this body/mind's primary activities that resulted in freedom.

Spiritual practice is interior practice, two means, attention, but not just attention, voluntary attention, which concerns a particular; and being-awareness, (which is different from self-reflection), and which concerns a whole; that is, discovering that there is a difference between ~what you are~ (which you may not be able to explain) and what you are not (which is usually, in the beginning anyway, that which you think you are).

If you had to summarize your spiritual practice in one sentence, if you had to give your "elevator pitch" for spirituality so to speak, what would you say? Cease doing, be still, and realize what is as it is.

You can do anything, but there is nothing that you must do.
You exist but there is no place that you are.
There is no god, but god is everywhere and in all things
You are of god, but god is not off you...but really you are making god in the knowing of god
Be alert, and alertly surrender.
Search deep within yourself, then let go of what you find.
Create the world you want with focus, feeling, and gratitude, but live unattached to it.
Look lightly but deeply, and forget what you come to know from it.
Become un-familiar with all that is familiar, but don't lose intimacy with anything.
Know your power, but don't cling to it.
Live to die, die to live.
Fight to Surrender.
Be alert.
Love.

This is a very interesting thread.
I would love to see people expand upon it with more than one sentence.
I think it goes to the heart of what this forum is about.
