let me be absolutely clear here Zendancer. all posts made here are made with the understanding that one may delete or modify them....i you repost the posts that i have deleted, many of which contain personal data....i will send a team of corporate lawyers down on this sight, Shawn, and you personally, that will make you rue the day you went on this abtuse little which hunt. if you think i'm playing then find out buddy qbout $100,000 into your attorney fees i promise you will regret it. Yes but ZD will send a team of enlightened ninjas down on you Steven. That's assuming your team of lawyers aren't also enlightened and ninjas. Then perhaps it would just be a big wash. I don't think that enlightened ninjas care about something foolish like that. First he foolishly and deliberately puts out all his private information (no one asked him to do that!), then he insults several members over weeks and months and still thinks he has some kind of reputation to protect???  And when he realizes that no one is interested in his offerings, he throws a 2 week temper tantrum, deletes all his posts and wrecks dozens of threads and now comes back and threatens everyone who will put back his deleted posts and restore these damaged threads???  It's all out there Tath, it's already in the internet archives, even google cache. You might consider sending your lawyers to google after they are done here. And good luck with that one! like I said....winability has nothing to do with it...be prepared to spend a few hundred K defending your actions Bob and Shawn....if you think I'm bluffing....find out better talk to your wife about this ZD, your family's financial well being is in play here I have violated no Terms of Use...but you will be violating the standard operating precedures of this site in what amounts to a personal vendetta of some kind the option exists to modify or delete posts on this site...all posts are made with that option available....my attorneys will have a field day with you going back and changing the SOP and TOU. but, if your feeling froggy....it wont cost me a dime to have the team of attorneys that work for me fight this one out in courst of the next five years. bunch of psychos Well, after reading this, I think that police giraffe story was your own story after all... |

a while back, based on something exactamente said, i began calling this place "mount woo woo", and i signed up for the full circle tour. i have been checking in here and growing more and more fascinated as time goes on. adya talks a lot about how the closer we get to truth, with our language, the more dangerous things can actually become. that the words that are the best, closest pointers, can be dangerous, and can really make a grasping mind come unhinged. for me, in my journey, i can attest to that. there were parts along the way when i was nearly paralyzed from "normal life" because my mind was reacting to being knocked off course in a really dark way. the whole thing fascinates me, and also makes me sad. even though the reality is that no one suffers, that's the absolute view, and like adya says.... it doesn't do any good if you don't really know it. i have deep compassion for steven and what looks, from here, like an incredibly painful experience to go through. i hate to throw out "advice" to anyone, but for what it's worth, if i were deeply involved in any of these threads, i think now is the time to stop engaging. now would be the time to be compassionate, and to just, well.... drop the whole thing. but that's just me. and i don't feel it's "right" or anything. it's just, at this point, what seems kindest.  |

I'm not a lawyer, but what I've heard is once one posts on a public forum, the post is public domain as long as attribution is included. Posting and modifying would likely be considered a privilege and not a right, and even so, just for members, which Tath is not. Of course, as he says, winnability is not the issue, and neither is rightness. Seems to be about baby chipping. |

Today, someone brought to my attention that numerous posts are being deleted, and that such deletions can destroy the clarity of the threads. For example, if someone new to the forum starts reading a thread, it may be harder to follow the original discussion if several posts have been removed. The reader will not understand what kind of statements, now removed, are being referred to. Would forum members prefer to have the threads locked, or leave them unlocked as they are now? Thoughts? Secondly, who cares about your personal data here anyway? That's useless information. So, Tath deleted all his posts, left and took FJ with him or was Tath/FJ the same person??? I haven't read any recent posts, but am confused. Page numbers keep changing, people banned or leaving but not...what's going on? There aren't too many people interested in non dualism. Most people are very attached to the idea that they are people. I prefer to let anyone delete his/her posts, but can see the benefit in having the website post a note reflecting that a deletion has occurred. How Shawn set up this site originally is unknown to me, but I hope to find out more information about that in the future, as well as info concerning the forum hosting facility, rights, rules, etc. Stay tuned. I thought this site is famous for his hands-off approach. I just wouldn't change anything because there is one little whiner out there complaining. That will take the vibe of this wonderful site down to the whiner level, which is pretty low at the moment. If posts get deleted, so what? It's all pointers only anyway. The real time talk in active threads is where I see the value, in what's happening now. If you are interested in archived threads you could as well read the latest book of the latest someone.
