that's scary. like a giant flushing or something. Flushing? well those of us who are beginners are thinking of a definition for 'vortex' that is more commonly used. think: various forms of swirling whirlpools.

well those of us who are beginners are thinking of a definition for 'vortex' that is more commonly used. think: various forms of swirling whirlpools. Ah okay. I found a definition Vortex: To be in the Vortex, or to get into the Vortex describes the positively aligned state of being; akin to being "in the flow", "in the groove", or even, simply very happy, blissful, content or supremely peaceful. Being "in love with everything" is what it is to be "in the Vortex" - it is the vibration of Source Energy, and to be in alignment with it gives the feeling of being perfectly content with the state of your experience, as it is, in the moment. The vortex is also sometimes used as a synonym for one's "Vibrational Escrow" or "Vibrational Reality".

Steven: Can you condense your general advice to a seeker into something short and sweet? His last bit of advice to me was fairly short and sweet: "just keep focusing on awareness." I got it then, I get it now. (Though, I don't know if that's still his advice).

If you are not afraid of being TRULY awaken, which will bring MUCH trouble, then the shortest way to it is to follow Yama/ Niyama. Checked out.

What if both the teacher and the seeker are being chased by a hungry tiger? What advice would you give?

It depends on what you mean by this hungry tiger.

If you want REALLY short and sweet, here it is: BE! Unfortunately, few people really get that. I mentioned that to a friend of mine. When he asked what we were supposed to do to know God, I said, "just BE." He came back with, "BE what?!" I said, "exactly!" He dismissed just about everything out of my mouth from there.

I think to get that they need to be already searching, not just simply asking.

The whole idea of "Basic Advice--short and sweet" is already flawed. We have more than enough fortune cookie wisdom around.
What is helpful is if one of you gets down to the unenlightened level and talks the nitty gritty of the whole thing. Like if you try to teach math to anyone, you're not just going to write a couple of formulas on the blackboard and expect the student to figure it out on his own. If the student has a problem then you will actually try to get into the student's head and see where he is struggling. I'm missing that here. Too many people too drunk on their bliss.
