Man if you want real RT watch this guy for a while.
I just downloaded a Satsang he did in India.
This guy is ruthless, he pulls no punches and shows no mercy.
He's very good for those that want it straight with no chaser.

Do you think the website Ruthless Truth has anything valuable to offer humanity? I haven't been there, but their surrogates on that other thread seem somehow strange, and I usually steer clear of those types.
When someone seems more interested in saving someone else, rather than just themselves, I usually raise an eyebrow.

Do you think the website Ruthless Truth has anything valuable to offer humanity? I haven't been there, but their surrogates on that other thread seem somehow strange, and I usually steer clear of those types. If the number of people RT claims to have insight to no-self is accurate, then I'd say RT is probably more effective than anybody else out there in terms of that one insight. Buddhism hints at no-self left and right, but I think very few actually actually see it. That's an honest comparison. |

I disagree with Michael completely here, it's massively important that you get this. Of course you can't get the insight by reading, it's just a pointer!

Ivory I agree. If more people just saw that, we'd have a lot more existentially broken people which would probably be a good thing. At least more people might start to question their positions so tightly.

Hmmm it's fine but I started this thread on Karal Renz. I do find it amusing how some are still stuck on the original RT thread and can't seem to get past it.
I probably should have not use RT in part of the title of my new thread but it seemed so appropriate to do so as Karl is the real RT.
Ivory nothing is massively important. This is just the ego/mind talking now thinking it's giving you some kind of map or something to use which is useless.
No one can ever know the truth. You can only know concepts and pointers that point to something that will always be unknowable. This should tell you something.
You are the truth but you can never know the truth.
The truth is it can not know itself it just is. So be happy, happiness is the quality of the truth.
I do like the way Karl puts this. I actually paraphrased his words in this post.
Basically Karl's message is you cannot do a single thing to know who you are . What you are is not imaginable so it's stupid to even try. Just be happy that there is nothing for you to do to be who you are. Then he goes on to say sometime no one even knows when in a split second you will see your own self in a non event. Until that time just be happy, give up all the stupid searches that all lead to pain and misery because even if you succeed in knowing every thing you can, in experiencing all that you can you will still be a lonely bastard because you will miss who you are.
His words seems to be conflicting but so far I have found him to be 100% spot on.
