Invitation to draw (describe) a schematic / composite (NAT): What's it really like to live a non-dual/ata/etc. life -- interior / internal ?
It's just that before I die (um, I mean my body), I'd like to comprehend in some fashion the above ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^, would be nice.
Thanks in advance for your input.

There is no you to benefit from any kind of understanding or comprehension... What's Happening is Freedom wanting a schematic so it can find something it's never lost... Paradoxically it's the funniest game imaginable...

Nobody wakes up and goes to the bank. Checks account balance. Goes home. Makes forum post. I don't get it, though, fj.

I don't get it, though, fj. I'm trying to participate, but I don't know how to live a non-dual life. So this tread is a hard one. Oh. I thought people who came here had to be into it or something like that. So, you're not into it at all? I guess I thought that non-dual and enlightenment were like peas n carrots?

I have to admit that even after ~12 years I still haven't the faintest clue about what this whole spirituality/nonduality thing really is about. And that should be a very disconcerting fact for all the spiritual teachers.

funny thing .. I started thinking about answering your question .. about what I'm like now, as opposed to what I "used to be like" .. but then I realized that there is no opposition, no way to compare..
sure, there are memories of a 'younger me', a guy who was attached to his thoughts and beliefs. or whatever but those memories aren't "real", only right here, right now is

Minds sometimes seize~up,brain tumors come to mind when we think too-hard an too long, without a break. Go soft when thinking, make it a pleasurable thing, copulate the thinker and thought luxuriating in love. peace

I thought this was helpful Truthfully, I had to peruse the book that video was based on half a dozen times before I had an inkling of what he was talking about. I still don't get it all though. I don't recommend this even though I appreciate visuals.

I still don't get it all though. I don't recommend this even though I appreciate visuals. I can't take the vid seriously. It's full of non-sequiturs. Why is he finding it hard to distinguish between the black dot and the white space around it? Why do other people look like a black dot? In reality other people look not even remotely close to what I look like. Actually other people appear as things. Where does his boredom come from? etc. The message basically come down to "you're just pretending". Why? "Because otherwise you would be bored". Why? Because.

Why is he finding it hard to distinguish between the black dot and the white space around it? It's exactly that beginning part that I found helpful in terms of illustrating what all the 'there is no separation' business is about. The black dot can not be a black dot without the background. It's very simple but it took a while to sink in. He's not saying it's hard to distinguish between the two, just that one can not be without the other.

Okay, but that's just semantic games, and has no relevance for actual human life. Why is there a black dot in the first place? And why does the black dot create the space around it? I don't buy the boredom story, because the split must be there before boredom can take place (and one can't say that boredom arises because it's boring without boredom). Where does the ability to create the white space come from? Why would the black dot need such an ability? Why can't it just remain as a black dot forever and ever?

You mean, why does undifferentiated everything start to differentiate? Hell if I know. You could go the peekaboo route -- God is playing peekaboo with itself. Good questions.
