The Fire Yogi, a 47 minute documentary exploring the journey of a Yogi who has the extraordinary ability to use a unique breathing technique to get into union with Fire. This non-religious documentary portrays a rare and unusual Fire Ritual performed by a Yogi from India and the subsequent chemical analysis of his clothing and physical tests that examine this supernatural phenomenon. The Yogi has performed this Fire Ritual for a total of 1000 days over the last 45 years. The Yogi, weighing a mere 94 pounds around 43 kilos has been able to survive on only two bananas and a mere glass of milk with a few drops of water twice a day for the last 28 years. The ritual is performed for Universal Harmony , Global Welfare and Individual Prosperity. Many aspects of the Yogi are on the edge of unbelievability, while at the same time highlighting the power and endurance of human mind, body and spirit... Enjoy Nowhereman It's truly amazing what this yogi does. I have no idea how he escapes from being burned alive. I mean he's right there in the fire no magic tricks here. So comon folks lets have some good feedback on this one ie why in the hell is he not burning up not even his hair? If this does not invite your curiosity then leave the site Now and see a shrink ASAP.

only got to 8:44, an my net got jambed. What was the "barrage of tests" that was offered Nowhereman? I'm curious to know what the film-maker came-up with!
Have you read the escapades of Idries_Shah's son, also a writer like his Dad, who ventured into yogi magic, as well as the flying birdmen of south america... He's a great easy read-writer you might enjoy, still alive today if he hasnt knocked himself off on one of his crazy adventures.
Looking forward to the"barrage of tests" done to the poor yogi.

If Ram bau (whatever his name might be) were not so selfish he would share his secret mantra with firefighters around the world. This statement does show a belief on my part that anybody should survive anything. Really shouldn't comment, not having watched very much. I've seen the pictures of gurus with artificial starbursts where the head should be. That works for some people. It's like seeing Jesus on a taco shell. So what? I do think absolutely everything that can possibly be can possibly be. If I had watched the whole thing I might have seen him douse himself in gasoline, burn for 30 minutes, then get up and eat a banana. That WOULD impress me! Went back. Watched some more. Went back again. What I see is a body making sure no exposed skin meets the flame. I can stick my hand inside a fireplace to turn a burning log. I have seen people impressed by that. I choose to see this as spiritual bollywood. Maybe asbestos robes. Fire has its characteristics and can be played. Hats off to Ram bau. He is willing to endure what must be great discomfort in an effort to be special. Nothing special here at all.

What I see is a guy rolling around on top of a fire. Sure anyone can stick there hand in a fire and not get burned. In India this is how they make Nam bread they put there hand right into the fire to flip it on a hot stone but this guy is rolling around on top of the fire. Fire may be played but I like to see you or anyone do what he does. Start watching around 19:13 the guy is right in the fire and it's all around him Nowhereman

Greetings..
He did not expose is flesh to prolonged direct contact with the flames, a standard guru-type illusion.. same routine without the robes would have been a bit more impressive..
Be well..

Right even if he did you guys would make up more stories in your mind that it was a trick. FWIW he did expose all that hair and hair is extremely flammable give it a try..if you don't burn yourself up then you can with some credit come back here and report.

For how long did Westerners see pictures of gurus sitting or lying on beds of nails - not realizing the 'trick' behind that one? It's magic. Iow, a little trick.
I, for one, did notice that he positioned himself in such a way that his hair and beard were not near the fire. When one's body is completely snuffing out the flames directly beneath, all the flames can do is come out around his body, which reduces the chance that any part of his clothing will catch fire, at least at one point, he was merely lying on the corner and never positioning his body dead-center with flames coming up both sides - in that case, he might have some trouble maintaining that illusion.

I don't think so. Have you ever been camping by the fire? I have so many times and the fire can get so hot you have to move many feet away not to get burned. This guy is right on top of the fire. I don't care is he's a few inches from direct flame with a hot fire like this you need to be feet away not to get burned. It amazes me how minds work when they can't accept what is going on. You simply cannot lay on a fire like he has done and not be harmed. Like I say try it next time when you are camping and see how close you can get to the fire let alone rolling in it. It's your mind that is playing a trick on you not the Indian.

Over there (India)the girls used to do it when their hubbies died. Can you answer my questions in the earlier post? Have you found Shahs sons writing? You will enjoy his escapades.
