I don't think so. Have you ever been camping by the fire? I have so many times and the fire can get so hot you have to move many feet away not to get burned. This guy is right on top of the fire. I don't care is he's a few inches from direct flame with a hot fire like this you need to be feet away not to get burned. It amazes me how minds work when they can't accept what is going on. You simply cannot lay on a fire like he has done and not be harmed. Like I say try it next time when you are camping and see how close you can get to the fire let alone rolling in it. It's your mind that is playing a trick on you not the Indian. your posts are fascinating NWM. what life-skills have you developed when not camping by the fire? Lol chewing gum and walking at the same time but at the age of 1. Being invisible, smelling like a rose or any other fragrant flower, bio-location you know the usual stuff that yogis do. et vous?

For how long did Westerners see pictures of gurus sitting or lying on beds of nails - not realizing the 'trick' behind that one? It's magic. Iow, a little trick. I, for one, did notice that he positioned himself in such a way that his hair and beard were not near the fire. When one's body is completely snuffing out the flames directly beneath, all the flames can do is come out around his body, which reduces the chance that any part of his clothing will catch fire, at least at one point, he was merely lying on the corner and never positioning his body dead-center with flames coming up both sides - in that case, he might have some trouble maintaining that illusion. I don't think so. Have you ever been camping by the fire? I have so many times and the fire can get so hot you have to move many feet away not to get burned. This guy is right on top of the fire. It's your mind that is playing a trick on you not the Indian. Yeah, you're probably right - maybe we're both a little 'right'. I'm not really trying to give you a hard time about it, but it's kind of natural for the audience to pick apart or try to pick apart a seemingly magical act. I can't help but think about Tony Robin's or what's that famous speaker who had some of his disciplies burn their tootsies while trying to walk hot coals. I mean, don't we all wanna know how that works.

Oops so sorry I probably am guilty of such. I spent many years in India and some time with the Nath yogis so I am quite basis in this area seeing things close and first hand. being burnt to death would hurt-heaps. Over there (India)the girls used to do it when their hubbies died. Can you answer my questions in the earlier post? Have you found Shahs sons writing? You will enjoy his escapades. No I have not read writings but will take a look now since I like you and it sounds like something fun.. Yeah it's true they did throw themselves on the fire..what is way worst is Indian men after they get married and have a few bucks from the dowry that the wife parents have saved up they put their own wives on fire for the money. It was so commonplace in India and the police would always look away knowing that it was not a kitchen fire. Still with all it's problems India can be a wonderful p[ace to live and just to be. Do you have the exact author names for those writings? Thanks Nowhereman

It is true fire can be played a bit with fire walking your feet are not touching the hot coals for a long enough period to get burned but if you hesitate at all it's going to hurt a lot.

Here's a great book along those lines. It's in MOBI format which means it's Kindle friendly. I cannot attach the pdf version cuz the file size is larger than 1mb. But I have given you a link below to use that will convert the MOBI file to a pdf file for you. Enjoy Nowhereman www.convertfiles.com/convert/ebook/EPUB-to-PDF.htmlRobert E. Svoboda - AGHORA, At the Left Hand of God Vol. Review from Amazon: This is a most profound and sensational book I've ever read. It brings to light the "dark side" or the "left hand" and illumines us as to how this "dark side" is as valid a part of God and Creation as the "bright side" is. It describes the journeys of the Tantric adept Aghori Vimalananda through realms of existence far removed from the mundane world, and hidden from most of us. Reading this book (and the other two in this series) will cause a radical change in the concepts we've formed about the universe, God, life, death and everything. Vimalananda is the pen-name of a great Aghori master (his real name is not revealed for good reasons). He had the privilege (or rather the grace obtained because of his past karma) to meet some of the greatest masters of all times and achieve phenomenal spiritual growth through the grace of Smashan Tara, the Great Goddess of the burning grounds. The chapters on "Ma" and "Shakti" describe the motherhood of God so wonderfully that one cannot help but fall in love with the Divine Mother in spite of her frightening disposition. The chapter on Mentors describes the eternal Guru-disciple relationship and also some of the very devious ways adopted by Gurus to test their disciples. The chapter on Aghora llumines us as to how even the "forbidden" substances such as meat, alcohol, tobacco and drugs can be used to accelerate spiritual progress if used in a proper way along with the guidance of a Guru. The chapter on Avishkar is all about possessions, whether it's by a low-level spirit or by a high-level deity. After reading this chapter, you should no longer be misled by people claiming to be incarnations of deities, since the mechanics of possession will become clearer to you. The chapter on spirits is sensational, to say the least. The astral world consists of many realms, and different types of spirits live in different realms based on their karmic qualification and level of evolution. Many people seem to think that they can extract work from the spirits and achieve whatever they want, without realizing that it can drag them into a dangerous trap, if they do not have an adept Guru to protect them. Considerable information is given on different types of spirits in the bright and dark realms. It's a very objective account that describes various types of spirit contact, along with their pros and cons. It also attempts to show how we can cultivate friendship with even the lowest forms of spirits and take advantage of it for attaining spiritual progress. The chapter on sex is the longest and perhaps the most illuminating. I have no words to talk about it....you must read it for yourself....it brings to light some of the deepest mysteries of sex, relationships, marriage, love and attraction, that you might have never heard of before! A word of caution though: If you are a purist with black-and-white standards, then you will find the information presented here to be very disturbing; so it might behoove you to stay clear from this book. But if you're a truth seeker who desires to discover the reality behind this mysterious cosmos, then this book will change your life for keeps! This book packs real power and will cause a permanent change in your life and your very approach towards it. May the Cosmic Mother bless you! Attachments:Aghora_1.mobi (593.4 KB)

Greetings.. Greetings.. He did not expose is flesh to prolonged direct contact with the flames, a standard guru-type illusion.. same routine without the robes would have been a bit more impressive.. Be well.. Right even if he did you guys would make up more stories in your mind that it was a trick. FWIW he did expose all that hair and hair is extremely flammable give it a try..if you don't burn yourself up then you can with some credit come back here and report. But he didn't.. and early in the film there is a brief clip of his beard on fire.. your's is a form of bias confirmation, where you want to believe in something so much that you overlook the actual evidence so you can convince yourself it's magical.. i'm not trying to discredit your beliefs, i'm reporting what i see, and what i see is not consistent with the claims being made by you or the film's narration.. i spent quite a few years looking for the mystical magical amazing enlightenment, and for the mystical magical martial arts super-powers.. what i discovered was that there are some actual conditions that have been embellished to mythical status, but which are just ordinary efforts experienced with extraordinary clarity.. Everything described as oneness, non-duality, and enlightenment becomes crystal clear when seen/experienced through the clarity of a still mind's perception.. all of the guru's and martial-arts master's tricks pale by comparison when seen/experienced through the clarity of a still mind's perception.. there are actual happenings that appear mystical and magical to those lacking the will and clarity claim for themselves what they worship in others.. it begins with the willingness to be liberated from the obstacles, beliefs and attachments, that we use as excuses for not coming empty to our own creation.. Be well..

Be well.. I have come to doubt very much that you are what you write. I still see in you a very strong desire to convince yourself that you are what you write. You see for those that truly see in clear seeing they have no need to keep rehashing it in every post as you do. They simply know and that alone is more than enough for them. Why because those that have such clarity have also dealt with their own ego to which I see you have not. So when it all distills down you talk a good show but that is all it is just talk. Someday you may become what you write however when that day comes you will not be writing the way you do now. I say this not to offend you or make you feel less than whatever. I say this because I do see clearly what is going on with you and you have my blessings. Nowhereman
