Sorry. The whole universe could qualify as an 'organism'. Okay, so UG's quote... ... would effective translate into "stop asking eternal questions, because they have nothing to do with the way your body is functioning?" If so, I get it. In fact, I've been recently pondering if my latest venture into eating more vegetables has to do with the fact that I'm listening more to the body. No, it's not any type of suggestion. It's just a description of what's happening for him. Cool. Then I can rez, because such seems to be what's happening for me, to. Thanks for the quote, silence.

Greetings.. That would make my day if that quote was from tzu. Your day is made.. Be well.. In participating here, we purposefully and voluntarily create and consent to the creation of silent, internal voices … others create voices in our minds and we do so in theirs. At their best, these voices can weave a map. At it’s best, if we follow one of these maps, we burn it, if we burn it, we follow it.

There's a multitude of scenarios that can play out. One is that you notice the questions simply don't make sense or are irrelevant. Another is that you just tire of asking them. Another yet is that attention naturally finds itself in silence. Perhaps another yet reveals the purpose of the questioning the whole time. Which is that it matters not what the question is so long as it's directing attention back to silence. The question is like the trolly car that keeps bringing you back to the border of mind again and again until you can be with that.

Okay, just to be clear, we're talking about existential questions, right? Not, "honey, have you seen my blue striped tie?"

Just to kick it off, one of the nuggets that I hang onto is in the Christian Gospel-- If this isn't about 'letting go of attachment' (in this case, to clothing), nothing is. It's not. Nature cares for itself effortlessly because it is not in opposition to anything. To live entirely within the flow of nature, to honor it, respect it, and move as it does, is to live effortlessly. Some Native American and other tribal cultures have at least come close to this ideal, but this in not generally the way of mankind, and so he toils and struggles. Nature moves in self supporting circles while mankind moves in straight lines. Nature is not trying to get somewhere, while man is always chasing a self serving goal. Man is as much a part of nature as the 'grasses of the field' but he imagines himself to be sovereign and superior, dominant and self directed. What must be abandoned if man is to take his place in the circle of life is his arrogance and separateness. Nature moves as God moves, as one, and does not recognize the human delusion of separateness and independent will, and thus withdraws it's support. There is only the will of God, only the spontaneous movement of nature, of creation, always as one. Most of all it must be understood that life does not fear death. Death, serves life.
