Im looking for the truth...again,I found it once and everything Is as it should be, buuuuut then I lost it. its hard to find people to connect with on a spiritual level, my friends and familly are good people but they dont think on such things, the man who pushed me in the right direction died some time ago,i've been on my own to figure this out ever since. so i guess i want people to discuss such matters with.

Cool, discuss away. And welcome to the board, Preston. Can you say what it was you found and why you think you lost it? Life is aaaalllll about context. Did the circumstances of your life change? All conditioned things arise and fall depending on conditions. So I'm told.

thank you for the warm welcome well 2 years ago i found the simpicity of truth and everything became so clear, life, death and even the awareness of every moment. I had love for everything in the world, i would think of somthing and then smile brightly thinking wow, its so beautiful. I have a girl friend at this time and i she was with me then, and i began to think "if i continue down this path would i leave in search of deaper truth? that would make her sad." and that scared me.

Preston, sounds like you had an "awakening" and can still taste the experience. It will be difficult and unsatisfying to deny that experience in favor of some thought-based reality. You can't stop living because of "what if" scenarios. If you do that then you will let fear rule. Let what awakened in you start to blossom. Your real friends will stay close to you and perhaps some of what you experienced will rub off on them.

I'm glad to hear that you're still together Preston. Personally I find my own relationship to be a great.... crucible for The Work. Sorry I didn't pick up that "at this time" meant now rather than "at this time that I'm talking about" meaning then.
What was the man that was "pushing you in the right direction" into?

he was a wise man and i listend to everything he said. i didnt realize it at the time but he was teaching me about the LAW of god. he told me a great deal, i got ahold of his book "The science of mind" and that helped a great deal. i should have said at that time, "At that time is right now, and right now is at that time. one should not think of this as two separate things" Hagakure (Master Itte i think)

If you are looking for truth you can find it in the writings and lessons of the living teacher Imre Vallyon of New Zealand. He has recently published an amazing 4 volume set of books called "Heavens and Hells of the Mind", you can find it at Banyan Books in vancouver. He has cosmic consciousness and may enlighten many if they choose to seek him out. These are critical times we are living in, the vibration of our planet is speeding up and we must raise our vibration along with it.

Preston, Ernest Holmes, the author of "Science of Mind" died in 1960. According to your profile, you were born in 1988. What do you think is causing this discrepancy? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Holmeswww.amazon.co.uk/Science-Mind-Ernest-Holmes/dp/1604590742/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=booksThe Ernest Holmes born in 1887 came up with this statement of beliefs in 1920: - I believe in God, the Living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute and self-existent Cause. This One manifests itself in and through all creation, but is not absorbed by its creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God.
- I believe in the incarnation of the Spirit in all, and that we are all incarnations of the One Spirit.
- I believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.
- I believe that the Kingdom of Heaven is within me and that I experience this Kingdom to the degree that I become conscious of it.
- I believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete emancipation from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.
- I believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God.
- I believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling Presence.
- I believe in the direct revelation of Truth through my intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of Truth who lives in close contact with the Indwelling God.
- I believe that the Universal Spirit which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that I am surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of my thought and acts upon it.
- I believe in the healing of the sick through the power of the Mind.
- I believe in the control of conditions through the power of the Mind.
- I believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness and the eternal Givingness of Life to all.
- I believe in my own soul, my own spirit, and my own destiny; for I understand that the life I live is God.

my uncle died in 2006 i didnt mean Ernest Holms. i also read the tibetan book of the dead, i find both books rather helpfull. i found it liberating when i no longer worried about self preservation and "the meaning of life" just freedom. but my uncle also said books can only bring you so far and then i have to find my own way, and when he died it hit me, but is also said "limitless wisdom comes from dicussion with others. but im always open to new books so i'll check out Imre Vallyon.

Whoopsie, that's twice I've picked you up wrong now. I made an assumption about you saying "i got ahold of his book". And you know what they say about assumptions....
