It's really frustrating that you guys constantly get hung up on that strawman of yours... "haha Question is so lolololological." I told you guys already that I'm super duper wide open to all kinds of possibilities, sure they have to pass a minor bs test, but I'm definitely open to this whole enlightenment thingy, why else would I stick around for so long? I'm open to all kinds of practises and non-practises, surrenderings and attendings and non-thinkings etc. I even agree with you on almost all points... how else would it be possible if not for the fact that I'm open minded and not at all rigid in my so called logic? To recommend that I go mad just completely misses the point and isn't even remotely helpful. It's like you haven't been reading my story at all and just wanted to take a dump into this toilet of a thread. I find it a bit disrespectful. Not that I don't deserve disrespect, I just didn't expect it to come from you, Klaus. Yes, your open minded, no question. And that's your problem. The only way your going to see is to go out of your mind. There is risk but there is also risk by staying in your mind No disrespect intended, Question. I have nothing but respect for you. I know, Klaus. Don't have myself, don't have a mind, can't go outta my mind, can't stay in mind, can't lose mind, can't keep mind... *sigh* You know what? Screw this! I'm just gonna watch football today and nothing else. Schalke vs Bayern, Dortmund vs Hannover... (gogogo Dortmund!), Real vs Rayo Vallecano and finally Atletico Madrid vs Barca.

Question,
At this point why don't you try a completely different approach...
Book a weekend retreat with an actual spiritual teacher. Find someone that you believe "has it" and go sit with them.
There are a lot of unpredictable variables when you interact face-to-face emotionally with another person.
You just can't know in advance how it will go.
The best part? Whatever the outcome, it's a win-win situation for you: at the *very least* you will be able to say "well, it was a dead end" and your unique path will become a little more clear by eliminating another method that does not work.

Question, is there anyone alive that has passed the minor bs test?

Gnaw... Question, is there anyone alive that has passed the minor bs test? Ciaran Healy. He charges a bit much, but I'm saving all the money I can.

Could be fun. but you already have that base covered, eh? he's not going to get very far berating you with your nonexistance. You might just end up wasting a lot of time arguing over the finer details of Schopenhauer when you could have been watching football.

I can't tell if you're serious or if you're joking. Ciaran is so blind and dishonest I can hardly believe it. If he's not joking, it's time for an Intervention. Well, Ciaran claims to be the best philosopher in the world because he has the courage to examine beliefs. He also claims he is all about the truth. I asked Ciaran if maybe there could be more to this than the examining the existence of a self, he said no. I asked him if that was true or if that was a belief. In response he just made fun of me and called me a coward. I'm pretty sure that Question is a better philosopher than Ciaran. Q's got the bigger brain, but Ciaran's got the bigger ego. He's quite a character that guy.

He's quite a character that guy. Ciaran is a sicko. He can crush souls. I've never seen such violence in words, I didn't know it was possible. I wouldn't touch that guy with a ten-foot pole. Who the better philosopher is, or who the smartest guy is... it doesn't work like that. It's about quality, not quantity. It doesn't matter how high your IQ is, you have to discover the correct context. ZD probably isn't the smartest guy on earth, but he's got the correct context nailed down and that's why he is the best philosopher. It's like you can get stuck in the wrong context and then fine tune the details to get around contradictions, and to accomplish this will take a high intelligence. Or you can get the context right and then everything else falls in place naturally and you don't need to be very smart to do that. Every physics student these days understands physics better than Newton did, even though Newton had double their IQ.

well put, question.
The arrowhead-digging weedeater ZD just told about also fits that definition. Context nailed. 'Nuff said.
