Could it be that your noticing is what is superficial? I'm not interested in playing that game anymore, e. I'm just wondering where a so-called teacher get's the inspiration to use a derogatory term referring to black people. And now you're choosing to defend it? Get real. I didn't notice a teacher using that term, and I didn't notice myself defending it. I DO notice that you pretty much live in your own giraffe filled world.

And now you're trying to be the unsung hero? . . . . . ................. ;D

I have no idea what you're getting at with 'subterranean personalities' and 'unsung hero' and post counts.

Is that where the confusion about the racism has come from? Do you think zendancer and question are the same poster? I'm completely confused.

Question lives in Germany and I live in Tennessee, and our writing styles are not remotely the same. FWIW, I only have one screen name and no aliases. Question has occasionally posted gender slurs, but I think they were all tongue-in-cheek. I've never seen any racial slurs, but I may have missed one because I've been too busy to follow all the threads lately. My wife, Carol, would say I'm guilty of a lot of things, LOL, but racism isn't one of them.

Let me guess, it's something about dancing and/or zen? ;D Well, the list is much too long to include here. Hehe. Zen is no longer on the list (though it was at the top of the list twenty years ago), and her only complaint about dancing is when I try to make up patterns that she doesn't think are "officially-sanctioned." From her viewpoint, my main fault is that I primarily only do things that are "fun" rather than things that she thinks "ought" to be done. Fortunately, she cuts me a lot of slack because dancing is one of the many things I find to be fun. I often advise men to learn how to dance because women give chocolates a rating of one, and they give flowers a rating of two, but they give dancing a rating of twenty. LOL. Dancing is the one activity which allows Carol to totally lose her mind, so its the only time that we're both out of our minds at the same time. Ha ha. (I have some very funny dance stories. One of these days I'll have to share a few of them.)

Oh, I concur! I have just spent a good 5 hours out dancing with my gentleman friend and some others. Such a great way to spend a Friday night. ;D

my wife says i dance like i'm driving a Mack truck --my frame is too rigid It's better to be too rigid than too limp! The secret is to stay relaxed but maintain a solid frame. The bigger secret to successful dancing is to remind yourself that the lady is ALWAYS correct. If a mistake occurs, simply say, "I'm sorry, dear, I didn't lead that pattern correctly." Whether its true or not, you will score more points.
