By George (whoever that is) I think he's got it! (whatever 'it' is). That doesn't seem right to me, the me who isn't here... If the consciousness causes 'seeking' and causes 'suffering', it must also be by that 'thought', which is ridiculous trying to 'think' about consciousness, the cause of 'not seeking' and be the cause of love, or non-suffering.... ....whew!!! Okay, I didn't quite follow that part. Hehe. Yeah, that's what I'm sayin. The thoughts that lead to seeking and the thoughts that lead to suffering all arise in consciousness such that, as I like to say, it never gets out of consciousness to go running down the street causing other things to happen. No, it can't.

If there is no one there(no self), typing out your post, and no one here(no self), reading it... Would it be correct to say that consciousness, is that which is typing out your post and consciousness that is reading it? Or does typing and reading simply arise out of the consciousness? Furthermore, would it be consciousness asking this question or does the question also arise on it's own, from the consciousness? "Stick wavering ever closer"

"Stick wavering ever closer" It can be talked about 'correctly' in various ways and various contexts, so it's not really an issue of correct or incorrect. I would say individuations arise within consciousness rather than out of, since that might imply something somehow escapes conscious in order to be other than consciousness arising. I don't usually say things like 'consciousness is typing' because that seems to imply a consciousness thingy with some sort of volition, and yet the arising IS consciousness. Consciousness is it's content.

My guess is that your intellectualizing it too much and not feeling it enough. There is still work once you become awakened.

I lean towards the 'Just do it' and stop reflecting or checking your progress approach. Its like in the practice of continually letting go of thoughts and other phenomena when they arise, and returning to the breath. Perhaps if one practices this enough then it simply becomes ones natural state of mind (if you can call it that).

I agree. Don't hold onto anything. Simply stay present to "what is." It may not seem like anything is happening, but when attention stays focused upon the actual, something is happening below the surface. Clarity will appear in due time. Just do it 100% without knowing or reflecting or checking. Let yourself disappear into the action.

Great pointers. Been busy with life and many times feel coming back here is more seeking but tonight I was pulled here.
Many changes happening around me as more letting go happens and pauses are more often. I would say to guess my more intuitive emotional self is arising that has been hidden by over thinking and fear based self.
Sitting and letting go of any desire or seeing the desire and not fueling it is maybe a way to put it. Watching things get done without willing them done is another observation. Realizing things get done without a personal will is seen more often.
The seeking movement of the mind can be caught at times. Its felt very physical in this body and mind. Tension stress in head. Something wants to worry and achieve or avoid and then letting go is counter to that but its not a thought to let go. Its a awareness of letting go.
Meditation seems to help this mind as it hates to meditate. Thinking is definitely a control mechanism here to fantasize or regret or worry or create all sort of stories and the meditation allows it to all be noticed as movements of mind. Feels like movements. Doing next right thing and be present with task seems to slice through mind resistance.
Let go and breath and rest back into awareness gets easier and more natural. At times when I do that I can see how my hands or shoulders were tense and relaxation sets in.
Basically just riding the wave of life and seeing what will happen next.
