from Celena ...
today was another great day for Ian ... he walked again with support on both sides but 100 feet this time ... totally awesome!!!as of today with the evaluation of his performance last week, he will be getting at least another 6 wks @ Helen Hayes. ... this may be subject to change based on subsequent evaluations ... but he is showing willingness to do the work in all his therapies ... he was able to try three spoons of chocolate pudding today ... of course he will have to master the art of eating as he still can't feed himself ... the goal is a little bit at a time ... more for swallowing and mouth movements ... also he was able to have a few sips of the liquid nectar thick jelly stuff and he is communicating with the thumbs up sign when asked a clear question so he is making strides ... God is truly restoring him ... God is the master weaver ... Ian understands more than he can express but he is in there ... Ian always made it a point to master everything he ever did and I believe he will continue to do the same here ... I love you all ... sorry if I forgot anything because its late ... xxoo all the way around ...

from Aunt Lisa ...
Well well well ladies here is all you have been waiting for....Ian is such a sweetheart I had a good day with him today, I watched him go on his therapy sessions, he did really well when they put him in a hoist to walk maken him do it by hi...mself of course with the support of the hoist but was very proud of him , they also sent him down to the rec area where his therapy was with weights, a balloon and a basketball he had the biggest smile on his face doing those exercises he is such a strong young man..He ate some pudding..BUT most of all he had a room change him and NINO his roommate from #4 are now in room #3, just the 2 of them so you all know that all heck will break loose when they get started I am glad to see that at least he has a roommate his age its only a 2 bed room no beeps from machines and such like the other room (same floor just room#3), when I saw that Ian tried his hardest today to accomplish his missions it from the heart he has come so far in such a little time..When I was about to leave me, Ian Donna ,frank and carolyn went to the lobby I said okay buddy I will see you soon I love you and gave him a wave with that I started to walk away like I always do and he gave me the pointer finger as to say come here, I said oh no you dont, dont you make me feel bad for leaving with that of course I walked back over to him and all he wanted from me was a hug and of course I did with that I again told him I loved him and would see him soon and started walking off and he seemed okay with that..I Love You Ian...what a difference a day makes ¢¾

Ian, has been the teacher, right here on this page, bringing us together as a family of carers........ watching him unfold and having the patience to just come and read and allow, is such a profound lesson. watching the allness enfold him and us is so grace filled. warp speed Ian into health in the physical, but more especially at being the blessing..... love louij

from Celena ...
I miss Ian and wish I could be there more. talked to mommy today, she said that he was able to have pureed turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. I'm so proud of him. He is doing such a great job, he is trying so hard to do what they ask him to do. He is truly a fighter and determined to get this.
