That's very beautiful. And I am tempted to put all the pics and the words -of the vid- one by one here, but something in me says you've never liked my chit chat much on this thread!
(joking! I am always the same! too much talk : ))

Your reply is beautiful and honest.
And it's great that this can be shared over. It also helps to shape Glimmer. To either say I find you plastic at times, insightful at times or I don't just get you. Or meet me let me take you for a walk in my world. I've seen yours.
Just reading the book recommended by Zen. There are some great pointers in the
book. Especially the chapter on the silence between the thoughts.
With Rumi there was the teacher student relationship with Shams. Tradition holds that as Shams moved away from Shams he was sitting in a pub with St Francis of Assisi
For some the door is shut closed where you are thrown out of the tavern for some it's an open door πͺ
A realised teacher is true in that he or she points that the story is not real it's just a thought
But Rumi, Nanak, Ramana are pointing at a deeper realisation where they embrace everything as the colour of That. I feel sometimes Ramana is misunderstood I know if an illiterate woman or man came to him he would meet them for where they were at. His heart would be fully open. The book I Am That doesn't capture this side to him. Tell them that their practice is okay worship a rock or their prayers are back to front as He is pointing beyond words, pre reality.
But the stillness silence will be grace in his presence to bring that person closer to This. No matter where they are at. The stillness silence will be shared over. He's not a bishop of words but a lover of That. Which is beyond words. Why he said the silence stillness of a sage is the real teaching. All sages will bow down to that.
If they had a camera π₯ today they would take pictures of a piece of turd as well as the rising sun and bow down to it all.
The problem today is that like the church you have teachers in their late age having come upon this
Like batgap all teachers in their 50s or 60s and may push over an old fashioned version of coming to This.
When really there are no rules as Rumi beautifully points out.
As this is open to all. That's the beauty. No tradition has a monopoly over this. A teacher saying meditate, practice is just as true as someone who suffers and wants to wake up having no practice or a dancer ππ½ who just flows straight into the lap of That.
There's no fixed rule.
Like I don't have children a point came where I had to look after my boss's children and picking up the youngest I only spoke Truth to her. No rattles or baby talk
She feels it, this space. That's been shared over.
With Shams distancing himself from Rumi. He had to. But his heart would have been for his student. Why Rumi just poured his heart out. He understood the separation from his teacher was bringing him home to the source.
And why many feel the words still till this day. As they are still alive. Why Rumi is so popular.
When I awakened at 21 being in the marketplace meeting David he was was more wild than all the gangs the people I was exposed to. Even my partner I stopped her wedding in the story because I loved her, still do.
But meeting David, Barry Long, Ian Wolstenholme even though I was the youngest at Barry Longs Satsang and had a dislike for the flowers in the vase Satsang environment, i could see through the showman in him. When a woman would say I've been hurt in life. And He would stop the play and speak to her with love. I could feel it.
That cry and to be met.
It's not easy. But to be truly met in life. To find a washerman of the mind.
But you have to really want This more than anything else.
And you will find you come upon it. That's the play. Just like rumi the teacher appeared for him. Of course a teacher can appear for you too. But you have to want this.
Here's a video no captions this time
And Glimmer push it over your truth
Even say Bach Shergill you waffle on π
I love it π
