Several of us have wondered what happened to Lightmystic. I reviewed his 100 most recent posts trying to find some clues to his whereabouts or his identity without any luck. Does anyone remember him mentioning specific people he knows? Did he once tell someone how to contact him via his personal email? I wrote to Shawn, but he doesn't have any info either. Are there any detectives in the house?

He disappeared from another forum at the same time. That's all I know.

He is the only one listed as staff. How could he be staff and no one know his contact info?
Disappearing of two boards at same time points to a mental or physical issue. I guess we might never know.

Hi zd just in case it was missed I saw a reference to lm on a forum that is no longer active look on page 3 in the [marketing corner] near the bottom under [New Forum] for the link.
If you look real closely on the first page you will see the name Lightmystic. But the page pops up a message about unlocking it to be able to read it clearly.
Good Luck

In April he stated in the 'music' thread "I have a little recording studio in my house, so I've actually been in the process of writing and producing my own stuff. It's very time consuming, but I'm writing stuff right now that is closer to the kind of sound/style I want than I ever have before. So it's all very inspiring."
He also stated in another thread that he was in love. Perhaps love and music have taken over. Non duality never seemed to be an obsession to him. He was past that I reckon.

Ive been going over the oldest threads and have not seen much. I got the impression that the spiritual services he once offered were in the same community in where he attended school but thats not much of a lead.
He might have offered personal contact information in a Spiritual Experiences thread...maybe Spiritual Experiences II? Will look this evening.
I hope he is well and that we get a chance to hear from him again one day.

I've too been wondering about LM, I hope he is well. Good Luck The forums seem to b stored in google cache and thus still accessible. Here's the link to the thread in which you found the LM reference: nonduality.pro-forums.com/ftopic204.phpIt still seems to be possible to browse the entire forums.

He said people would not be interested in spiritualforums.com but hes done 1,971 posts on there? www.spiritualforums.comHis username is Light Mystic His last post was on 12-15-09, 09:20 PM It is the same lightmystic as on this forum, i checked few some of his posts they were all about koans and nonduality and he stopped posting at around the same time as this forum.

maybe LM is finished. isn't the point to all of this, freedom from this. eventually i would hope, everyone would simply move on. when you are DONE, you are DONE.

maybe LM is finished. isn't the point to all of this, freedom from this. eventually i would hope, everyone would simply move on. when you are DONE, you are DONE. Robert: There may be one or two rare individuals who wake up and lose all interest in discussing this path, but these people are the exception and not the rule. For most people, freedom does not mean moving on. It means that they are NEVER done offering help or advice wherever there is any interest. The only happiness equal to finding the truth is the happiness of helping other people find the truth. The exceptions to this are so few that they can be counted on one hand. For example, there were once two monks (I can't remember which country, but I think it was either China or Japan) who were exact opposites. One was a huge extrovert and the other was a super introvert. They both became enlightened under the same teacher. The extrovert travelled all over the place teaching and had tons of followers. The introvert went off and became a ferryman, ferrying people across a small river in the middle of nowhere. The introvert sent word to the extrovert to send him one good student, so that he could fulfill the obligation he felt to their teacher. One day a student came to the ferryman sent by the extrovert. The introvert rowed the fellow out to the middle of the river and they began to talk. At a certain point, in response to some question or answer, the ferryman knocked the guy out of the boat. When he came up for air, he said something to the ferryman (I've forgotten the details), and the ferryman hit him with his oar. This awakened the guy and he was allowed back into the boat. The introvert then rowed the fellow to the shore and told him to tell the extrovert what had happened. The ferryman then rowed out to the middle of the river, turned over the boat, and disappeared from sight. This story is so strange that it is hard to forget, and I have only read two or three other stories in world spiritual literature similar to this. Most people who wake up love to point interested people in the right direction. LM clearly loved to teach, so I suspect that there must be a fairly serious reason that he stopped posting everywhere at the same moment in time.

I agree that LM loved to teach and had a very warm personality that came across as very empathetic and caring.
I can't see him just stopping, he would always reply to a post if no one else did.
It did make me go back to the beginning and read his posts. He had some of the best posts I ever read. Its worth your time if you haven't read them.
