Just want to thank you for mentioning Anthony de Mello and his book
"Awareness". It motivated me to look him up and i viewed his talk on 'love', very insightful.
Today I went to the library to see if they had "Awareness", they didn't. But I did find his book "Sadhana" have you read it?

No doubt I thought Sophia's criticism of me were bizarre and I am not sure how she found out I was the one who gave her a negative karma rating....seems even more bizarre that she would make the effort to find out.
(I guess Sophia's efforts were successful since my karma rating is now zero....but then again, we shouldn't define ouselves by something as meaningless as Karma points in the first place now...Should we Sophia?)
FWIW, I never said anything negative about Sophia and even defended her against SwamiCollins' looniness.

I think it notifies you if you get negative karma. Not really sure though. The main problem with me is that I actually forget about the karma system usually... I don't know who removed your karma points but I was not involved with that. I've only removed one karma point once on this forum, and that was when Swami Collins started hitting others below the belt. If I have a problem with someone, I will address it directly. The karma system seems kind of petty if you ask me, unless it's to show appreciation for someone, which I do use it for occasionally. Anyway, that's my take on it. Also, morrie, I don't think it was sophia's intention to attack or ridicule you. I certainly didn't see it as that at least. I think this whole thing has been a big misunderstanding. You guys need to kiss (or hug, I think at least one of you is married...) and make up. Hi Morrie, I was not criticizing you, I was just letting you know that you hurt my feelings. It was very very easy for me to know that it was you who smited me. It was not magic, nor was there any deep investigation put into the effort. It was simply that you were online at the time I was reading messages, and one second I had 5 karma and the next second I had 4, and you were the only one logged in. (I was not logged in, I was simply perusing the messages as a guest.) I think, instead of you getting so worked up over whether or not I criticized you, you should instead be asking yourself why you felt it necessary to smite me when I didn't say anything that was harmful to anyone. While I'm trying to learn about why it would hurt me to be smited, I think you should try to learn why you felt the need to smite me. Maybe we can both learn more about ourselves and each other. I, too, am a bit confused because the last message I posted to SwamiCollins was in defense of you, but the whole thread got deleted along with many other SwamiCollins' posts, so you probably didn't get to see it. If you would like to discuss this off-board, please email me. Personally, I would like to gather more of an understanding of exactly why things happened the way they did.
