Why karma? Why Exalt or Smite? We are here to meet on spiritual ground - we are equal, there is no greater or lesser here. We have different opinions and speak with different voices but we are all one and the same.

Roll with it. After a few dozen postings you'll start to see the funny side of it. Once you get to about 50 posts it will probably irritate you intensely. Then you'll forget about it for a while.... at some point you'll notice it again and go on a mad smiting binge. It's a bit of a microcosm of life really.

seriously who gives a boo what someone using a false name thinks about your post? i didn't even know what that was. karma is a term used to make the poor feel like the crap they had to swallow daily was their fault. while the rich could say that they deserved their enormous wealth instead of owning up to the fact that their grandfather most likely worked your grandfather to death in some sort of sweat shop , mine, or whatever. if you want to know the truth of religions abuses follow the money.

I'm relatively new and didn't really notice/attend to the 'karma and exalt or smite' feedback, but think it is unneeded..... or - at least - I don't understand the need for it or it's reason for being..... ??

It's built into the Proboards forums, but perhaps if can be turned off. It's not very useful.
But spiritualbooks, you were the only person I've seen with a negative rating. That might have something to due with spamming the board.

Its bad for first impressions but after that it becomes quite funny like the spoon guy says.
It says a lot more about the person smiting/exalting than it does about you.
And personally I only read stuff from posters with -15 or below. That way you know its good.
