there is no opinion of this forum, just individuals with opinions...
learning how to question, to do inquiry in a productive way is something valuable I learned by example really....

As odd as it might sound, I unlearned volumes by chatting with folks on forums and in person. Not just teachers but anyone I took an interest in. The focus has always been 'What's actually true?' Funny thing is, nothing is.

questions, if you are seriously interested, reply and I will give some specifics.
This is actually a really good question.
On the chakra stuff, no interest here. The energy stuff is secondary to the concious realization.

You know what's funny, is that for years I wandered around thinking that by locating this chakra or that chakra, or by learning about Kundalini awakenings, or by exercising my body through Yoga I was actually getting somewhere. I wasn't... but I was. LOL... I don't know how to explain it; but occasionally, those epiphanies will come, and I will recognize the experience from something I have read. The unfortunate thing is that I know it would be meaningless to tell someone else about it, because it wouldn't describe the experience at all. It might only distract them from their own journey. Yet, I recognize it in my own journey, because someone has already described it (and I recognize it); not that it helped me at all except in retrospect. This is a very silly game.
