David Carse's book Perfect Brilliant Stillnes is a clear and sparkling gem. Carse seems very reluctant to be a 'teacher', but that is indeed how I consider him - a teacher par excellence. Thanks to his book, I seem to be getting 'it' on a deeper level.... no doership..... no entities.... NO me....only All-There-Is looking through my eyes and yours. No purpose and no point - how utterly freeing! If there is a prescriptive message, it seems to be 'stop, go back, no thoughts are true, stengthening of our personal story by retelling/rehashing binds us further'.

I might just have to buy the audio book version - since I'm not a big reader - listening is way better for me! I hope it's unabridged!

Next to anything and everything about or by Ramana Maharshi, David Carse has taught me more about the ultimate Understanding than anyone. Perfect Brilliant Stillness is one of the few books I've read many, many times, and each reading strips away another layer of ignorance. It is a real treasure.
