Do you never ever feel in control ZD? Are you sure you're not getting confused between marriage and spirituality?

Silence: It isn't up to us. We just follow orders. LOL. How about you? Same here, just following orders... There's laughter when questions appear, but there is also a longing for something so tricksy that everything is turning upside down. Who would be giving such orders?

Do you never ever feel in control ZD? Are you sure you're not getting confused between marriage and spirituality? OMG, I'm even less in control of marriage! LOL. My wife is a total mystery--a good reminder of how little can be understood about anything. Of course, we're just using words to point to something. On an everyday basis I act as if I had control knowing that I don't. IOW, knowing that there is no separate entity here, I, as awareness, just watch the action and live in a state of "flow." The idea of choice versus no-choice simply never arises except on a forum like this. The body does what has to be done, and then it does the next thing that has to be done, and awareness watches it all happen in emptiness. Remember, too, that as one shifts from incessant thinking to pure awareness, the habit of mental reflectivity significantly diminishes. There is no checking of the mind, no second-guessing, no fantasizing, and no looking backward. Life is lived in a state of present-moment awareness and most of the past mental machinations are ancient history. Probably the most reflecting I do on a daily basis is thinking how to explain various things in answers to questions that appear on this forum. I'll never be able to enter Nirvana because someone has to stay here thinking about what needs to be written on the signposts. LOL.

Ahhh, that one can't be known, but the heart is always open and bursting with love to live in service to THAT. The mere thought of such radiance of being brings tears to the eyes.

For me it's because the Silence of being is irrespective of sound or not sound. If there is very little activity, there is Silence. If there is lots of activity, there is Silence. Both activity and non-activity appear to have great value and function. On another level, the personality wants what it naturally wants. Nothing wrong with that. Enlightenment is not something the personality does. How come you guys don't live in silence all day long?

ZD: I think most wives are a mystery. LOL. If you're right about all this then I need a real big signpost with red paint please. Even if you're wrong, where you are seems like a very peaceful place to be, which is great. You can be sure that the people who visit this site, whether they contribute or not, appreciate you forgoing Nirvana, as you're a great help! If you have a spare ticket I won't say no!
