My wife and I have begun a garden here in the middle of a monster East Asian city. We typically go on hikes on Sunday, just to check out the latest seasonal changes, find new scurrying trails up slopes of the local mountains, and breathe in some nice pine-filled air. Anyhoo, we decided to go by and check out the farmland we recently leased and find out when it would be ready to go forward with some of our plans (we've had recent late winter storms). Turns out, the weather was great, there were supplies in the shed, and the gumption was just right.
We hand-tilled the soil with 100kg of manure and planned the overall planting arrangement. We'll go forward with multiple types of tomatoes, okra, bell peppers, banana peppers, pumpkin, a variety of slad greens, potatoes, and a schmigglen of herbs. The simplest of the simplest forms of thought/isness just bubbled up throughout the day. Shoveling, hoeing, and raking. We then decided to by a bottle of the local rice wine, put a plastic bag (for the manure) under our asses and take in the setting sun. Silly piddles of joy talking about this and that, and of course, the garden.
Done. Inshallah, let's see what tomorrow brings.

See any fairies or gnomes in the garden?
