Thanks, LM. I've been in one of my modes lately of seeing nothing but BS in these forums, and so it's a distinct pleasure to meet Amit and Zendancer, along with a few familiar faces such as yours.

Nice to see you here, Enigma! Excellent entertaining contributions. You seem to have very strong opinions about "certain" issues.

Hi Porto. Thanks for inviting me. I don't really seem to have any opinions at all, at least none worth talking about.

I'm sure happy you stopped by. You are very good at spotting fantasies, and I enjoy your humor a lot.

It comes from years of spotting my own fantasies and being forced to laugh at em. Hehe.

Ah! Very cool! Yes, I find this forum to be a great one to get into the ever finer details of indescribable truth. Let the poking commence! Thanks, LM. Well, I'm hoping to escape the villagers with their lanterns and pitchforks. Hehe. I go through cycles in which everything I read is so clearly BS that I have no comment, and when that happens, places of sanity such as this show up. I just want to stare into the face of God for a while, then we can get back to the slashing and burning.

Hehe....I don't really mean poking in the negative or "fixing" sense. When I say poking, I mean poking into people's experience. Often a lot more comes out when that happens, because people have to focus more carefully on their direct experience, and beautiful things tend to come out of that. Of course, it's no fun poking people who don't want to be poked. I'm definitely not trying to imply that anyone needs to be anywhere in specific. That said, I deeply appreciate the openness that everyone on this forum has shown. It is quite unusual for a forum to have so many people like that. Definitely do not poke unless it feels like the right thing for you. But, for the record, you are always welcome to poke me.

::::Walking up to LM and poking finger in shoulder::::::
I guess we've toadally lost track of whatever this thread was about, so I'll continue. The odd thingy seems to be that I begin to lose track of what would normally be people's expected reactions to attachments, and then I'm surprised when they get angry. I know it's because I'm not really paying attention to that, and it's okay, but sometimes I need to scurry back to the cave for a while and count the bats on the ceiling. Hehe.

Enigma: I know what you mean by going back to the cave (or woods). I would say you are lucky if you can literally do that. In other cases, there's a need to continue living a tortuous life. And people will definitely get angry if their enchanted imagination bubble gets close to a pushpin. In my case, I observed that every time I upset people it's because of my lack of understanding. But this shouldn't apply to a spirituality board - we are here to pop all the cushion bubbles.
As an example, LM is always up for poking. Furthermore, he seems to have answers for everything.

Although the 'cave' is mostly in the heart, it is actually the case that I've been working on my cabin in the woods to prepare it for sale. Saturday, I found myself sitting on the ridge of the roof, overwhelmed by the beauty and peace around me, tears streaming down my face, very unbecoming for a macho roofing contractor. Hehe.
PS There's a point at which the 'buttons' don't function anymore, so don't let LM's willingness to have them pushed fool you. Hehe.

Not much left to do when faced with the infinite. LM tricked me a few times, indeed, but I enjoyed his answers.
