Every instant is an opportunity for gratitude, no doubt. .. but it's also just as true that there is nothing wrong with not taking those opportunities. No shame. No "sin", but that the mind makes of it. Rather. There is what is happening, which is "you" (and "me"), and, for most folks, there is some sort of intermediary between the moment, and the happening. The existential truth is that the happening is not-two. In my opinion, spirituality that leans toward the existential truth lends clarity as to the intermediary.

We'll just have to see where this goes. There is a rule here, no politics. That's basically because it's a very touchy personal area. It causes explosive emotional outbursts and "food fights" (imagine Animal House). All political discussion occurs via private messaging, and "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". So whatever this evolves into, if it goes badly, Reefs will shut it down and the thread will disappear. Good luck. And Welcome.

Well it seems woo woo topics are allowed nowadays, who knows, political debates may become the norm soon

What I've noticed, is often that when there is political intensity, that I am moved to treat 'thoughts' and 'mind movements' in general with slightly more gentleness than in times of relative calmness. I tend to 'deepen' a bit.

House built on rock. Echard Tolle speaks of this, analyzing new testament parable. He says go further inward. The kingdom of God is within. He shared this message over the pandemic, I remember. I was distraught and Tolle really calmed me. Now in a new context, his video is just as good. Message is sort of the same. I wish Tolle didn't charge 20 dollars per month for website membership. I can't afford 20 dollars per month. If only there was Pell grant for such things. Strange how an external phenomena points you in the "right" direction, "inward." What is that? I often wonder, that is my mind does, not me (joke). Can we dileneate the boundary? I guess we can. Your posts are refreshing. More, please.
