As a general rule, you can use current events as a starting point for a more abstract philosophical or spiritual discussion. But you should not use current events as a starting point to voice your personal political opinions or political theories and predictions. We have running private threads for that.
Discussions of the first category I will encourage, discussions of the second category I will delete.
That's the 'no politics rule' in a nutshell.
I don't think that is so hard to understand. But it takes some effort in terms of focus, which most of you guys seem either too lazy to do or incapable of doing.
Anyway, your choice.
