All,
I’ve deleted the thread “Climate, past the point of no return” because it turned purely political. As I've stated before, once in a while using politics as an example to make a point on a particular spiritual topic is okay, but using a spiritual topic to make political points or drifting off into purely political discussion is not.
Remember what Shawn said about the scope of this forum:
“This board is intended for anyone with a sincere interest in a spiritual path or teacher and is not limited to those interested in spiritual teachers reviewed at Spiritualteachers.org.”
This should be seen as a general guideline.
What makes this forum special among all the other spiritual forums out there is its narrow focus and high quality of discussion.
Let's keep it that way!

... As I've stated before, once in a while using politics as an example to make a point on a particular spiritual topic is okay ... I think too that it is important to (spiritually) understand why some people form a strong belief about a subject while others form as strong, but different beliefs about the same subject. Such understanding would be much more important than trying to establish "who's right", even if we could that, and if that made sense. There are several factors that work toward the establishing of those opposite beliefs, distributed between the individual characteristics, and the group influences. The same belief, or tendency to a certain kind of beliefs can form due to quite different causes, but they probably can be distilled to a few major ones.

All,
I've deleted another thread, "Spaceship Earth", for the exact same reasons mentioned above.
Please make an effort and honor the no politics rule.
Thank you.

Sorry, I never saw your July 19 message. If I had seen it I wouldn't have started Spaceship Earth.
