I'm watching a program right now about the Taos hum. It's on the Unexplained from 2018, Strange Earth, S1 E3, Story TV. OK, they are playing a recording they think they recorded of the hum. It's definitely a hum, a ~motor-like~ vibration-hum. I started this thread thinking maybe it was the universal sound many people can hear here. But it's not just Taos, people all over the US hear it, they showed a map. They said about 2% of the population can hear it, most can't. That segment is over. So this is maybe a nothing thread. But I can hear the sound right now, it's pretty loud now. It used to annoy me, but I'm OK with it now, and don't hear it all the time, unless I specifically listen. I'm probably habituated to it.
I'm going to keep watching, later a physicist is going to talk about the possibility of time travel, I'm a sucker for time travel discussion.
But here it is, if anyone wants to write about the universal sound. It very sounds like crickets to me, not exactly but very close.
