I've been looking for a video as an introduction to Dzogchen. I haven't found a really good one by Dzogchen teachers, traditional. The ones I listened to are too wordy, don't get right to the meat, or are not good quality recording that one can hear clearly. But I ran across this by Sam Harris, who knew? It's short, 12 minutes, but he gives a good introduction to *what it is*, explaining at the same time why there isn't/can't-be nuts & bolts instructions.
I would say it's important to make a distinction between the mind, and the contents of the mind. Mind without contents has direct access to awareness in and of itself, it becomes awareness. In Dzogchen this is called Primordial Awareness, they are synonymous, it is also called the Great Perfection.

I just now listened to about an hour and a half of various James Low videos on Dzogchen. I first encountered him about 12+ years ago with the book Being Right Here: A Dzogchen Transmission Text of Nuden Dorje, Entering The Mirror of Clear Meaning. It is a most excellent book, second on my list of Dzogchen reading. (First is The Mirror: Advice on the Presence of Awareness an early book by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, from whom I first learned about Dzogchen, his book The Crystal and the Way of Light, a pretty good introduction to Dzogchen). Low it seems is a dynamo, the longest video I noticed is 7 and 1/2 hours. Most of the videos I watched in excerpt, are very good, but very wordy. This one gives a taste of Dzogchen in some 11 minutes. The first one I watched was Dzogchen and Nonduality, which it most assuredly is. It's pretty good (I watched about 25 minutes of) if this short video leads to more.

James is a better communicator than Sam H, who seems stiff, more like he doesn't know his Power.
I like this post SDP, "I would say it's important to make a distinction between the mind, and the contents of the mind. Could be titled: Instruction for an Old Man on the Verge of Death
The entreaty in the beginning I thought was moving:
"Great Master, think on me with kindness. First of all, I am uneducated. Second, my intelligence is small. Third, I am old, so my elements have worn down. I beg of you to give a teaching to a man on the verge of death that is simple to understand, can thoroughly cut through doubt, is easy to realize and apply, has an effective view, and will help me in future lives."
