Well said. I feel like you bring up such an important point. It's very popular to blame everything on "the ego" as if it's some separate thing from you that you can eradicate. There is no "other" thing called ego. In a sense, you could accurately call the ego just a process that happens. It's the process of identifying with limitation. So ego is not a noun, it's verb. It's something that people do (egoing ). Based on that, there is no reason to assign power to it or think that "it's" somehow controlling "you". It IS you, or at least what most people think they are. It's really just a process that can be useful to notice and realize is based on a false assumption. Granted, intellectual recognition does not change it, but the intellectual awareness of it can give a very solid starting point to begin exploring it for real. I stopped thinking of it as ego a while ago. I now use the term "The Bullshyte Express".
