personally I'd rather catch covid than conservatism Divide et impera is the oldest and cheapest trick in the book. And yet, people fall for it every single time. Sad! The "Domino Principle" starts with " whether we know it or not we're all manipulated". Ridiculous and pitiful.

One's oppressor is another's hero. Surely, you must be right, and whoever has another opinion must be wrong. It must feel nice to have no doubts. Sure, there's still like 60 million folks that would vote for Trump. It boggles the mind. Having no doubt about opinions? That sounds like the opposite of an open mind. I guess you don't believe in democracy and free elections, excepting when your candidate wins. You sound like my wife, and whatever she watches.

( I believe this phrase wasn't trademarked by MLK or anybody else; I also hope I won't, but I don't care if I do, fall pray to the flourishing "cancel culture" for what others might imagine I meant to offend by using this phrase )

Be careful what you wish for! I doubt that when you'll get your wish granted you'll see that as a blessing. Nah, not wishing for either, but if given the choice I'd take my chances with the dangerous virus over the crazy conspiracy cult rallying around a madman You think only one political party has crazy cult-like thinking? Take the woke leftists, who "fight racism" like this: twitter.com/stillgray/status/1278226800317919234Or they try to get you fired for all kids of odd shallow reasons. I know decent and intelligent people who vote for both political parties. Most debates are not good vs evil, but different points of view on a problem. Good solutions would often allow both views to co-exist, or be factors in the solution/system.

Is that (un)covered by free speech? Yes, it's free speech. I think a person should be able to say things that I find repugnant, as long as they keep it to words. Of course, "free speech" means the government doesn't do anything to you. It doesn't mean you won't get ridiculed, insulted, fired, ostracized, banned from a social media site, etc.

I believe that has nothing to do with civil rights and peaceful demonstration, and she should've got ticketed, and had a mental evaluation ordered by court.

I'm no lawyer and I'm not familiar with those laws. I fear subjective interpretations of laws that could limit free speech, but if there is a decent way to stop gross verbal abuse, without a slippery slope to "you hurt my feelings, go to jail", then I might support it.

Extinguishing a Pendulum(excerpt from V. Zeland's "Transurfing") Be prepared for the pendulums to provoke you. When you find yourself in an unpleasant situation or when you receive bad news, you are naturally thrown off balance. In the standard scenario, you ought to worry, be afraid, run away, lose heart or express your dissatisfaction or irritation. Now, do the opposite. Offer an abnormal response. Smash the script and try substitution: replace fear with confidence, despondency with enthusiasm, indignation with indifference and irritation with joy. The essence of the pendulum game is to pull you off balance. You have to break the rules of the game intentionally. Do whatever you like, just as long as it is not what people expect and then, victory will be yours. Interpretation: Pendulums feed on human energy. For example, when something makes you angry, you express your furry and give your energy away to the pendulum. The pendulums provoke everything, which could potentially evoke strong, negative emotions. When you come across some unfortunate circumstance and react by getting irritated, there is a continuation and the negative situation develops in the same spirit, or new unpleasant situations arise. That is how the pendulum swings. You swing the pendulum yourself when you accept the game imposed on you. Behave differently. Either don’t react at all or respond in the opposite way altogether and then you will still the pendulum’s sway. Your task is to introduce a different game, your own game, by reacting in an abnormal manner. The sole principle here lies in the fact that when you swing with a different frequency to the resonant frequency, a dissonance is set up between you and the pendulum which causes the pendulum to stop swinging in relationship to your energy, as a result of which, it will leave you alone.

- interpretation: don't focus on reacting, focus on creating reality; do what you want, instead of fighting against what you don't want; it is a matter of focus; wish for success, instead of wishing to avoid failure! Bingo!

Idealogy never solves a problem, but rather limits responses. Give a roomful of ideologues an orange to peel and the orange won't survive.
