Hello, I am seeking a non-online teacher/guide and/or community in Italy where I now reside. The problem is I speak and understand Italian very badly. I know people will encourage and cajole me into learning the language but lets just say that for a variety of reasons that just isn't going to happen.
All follow and read allsorts on line and in books, what I lack is a personal relationship to a 'realised one' and a sincere face to face community. The latter I can perhaps make up on line but the former not.
Can anyone point me to resident or visiting teachers/guides? I thank you for your trouble.

I've studied Dzogchen somewhat (from Tibetan Buddhism), I find it a very high and significant teaching (I'd put it in the top 3 teachings I've encountered). Chogyal Namkhai Norbu moved to Italy I think it was in the '60's, still lives there I think. (I've read several of his books). That might be a place to start. From there you might network. I just browsed his website, I think his base/organization/foundation is Naples. (His book, The Mirror, Advice on the Presence of Awareness, is one of the best books I've ever read, I'd say top ten. Small, short but packed). www.dzogchen.it/chogyal-namkhai-norbu/
