People often mention them in the same breath and put them on par. I disagree completely.
I find Ramana to be the realest-deal and greatest teacher probably since the ancients.
Nisargadatta, on the other hand, I find far, far too glib. Though admittedly I say that only having read "I am That" -- which I've heard some people say is an inaccurate representation of him.

Yeah, very different in character, life style and teaching style. But basically the same message. There are quote threads on both Niz and Ramana. Maybe you start there.

Why not "Ramana AND Nisargadatta"? They're just different expressions of the same Truth. If it was 'one size fits all', many aspirants would be doomed!

All contain pieces for the individual puzzle. Laughing at the beedi reference though, used to get them in HS, Niz Wins.
