Gurdjieff collected a great deal of sacred music in his travels, visiting various monasteries. Collected basically means he memorized the music. Later he played the music on a Harmonium, a small hand organ, to Thomas de Hartmann, Russian composer and student (along with his wife Olga, AKA Madame de Hartmann), and together they composed the music. Some of it is readily available on the internet. To say that it is unique is virtually an understatement.
